you can do a hard reset to unlock it, but this will delete all the info off the device

you can take the battery and the back off the device and place in completely submerged in a bag of white rice and leave it in there for 1 to 2 days this will help absorb the moisture, this should fix it if the water did not damage the circut boards if the water damaged the circut boards then the device is fried

Hard Reset my (Sprint ppc 6700)*
Press both the right and left softkeys on the front of the phone while you are pressing the 'soft' reset button on the bottom of the phone. Press Y and then the space bar, let the phone reset and follow prompts, after 3 seconds, it will install the sprint software. I recommend a soft reset after that. Sync, and you're ready to go again!

Sounds like your flex cable is loose from the board to the LCD - try reinserting that
Can't use phone feature
hard reset the phone - do this by syncing first, then hard reset the phone by:
1 taking out the battery,
2 then reinserting WHILE holding down the send and end buttons. 3 then re-sync your info back on and...voila!
Email Sending
if the email address has more than 32 charchters then sprint will reject it. I ditched my outlook on the phone for GMAIL mobile you can setup all your POP email addresses with gmail and never have problems like the ones your having. gmail is google email. the added benifit to using gmail is that you can free up your on phone memory to store email for other things like slide to unlock

Touch screen not working
You Will need to Hard reset the phone but make sure you back up your info first, because a hard reset will delete all info. To Hard reset the phone hold the two Soft keys which of Dots on them and then while holding those buttons press the reset button located on the bottom of the phone by the Charging port.
SLIDE TO UNLOCK BATTERY SAVER
One of the annoying things I found as a 6700 owner is that I was always pocket calling people and that my battery had a very short life. my battery used to only last from 7am to 1pm before I had to change the battery or or plug inmy phone (PHONE ON A WIRE? this defeats the wireless phone theory). Now I can get a full day sometimes 2 days out of my battery because all the buttons are disabled from turning on the screen and the only button that turns on the screen is the top power button which shows the slide to unlock screen. when you have a incoming call the screen will offer you to slide to answer if you set it up with the easy to use settings that will be located in your programs folder after setup. the
instructions for setting up this program are easy to follow at the download page.
Solution:
Download and install this awesome app called slide to unlock.
It will save your battery if you set the settings to:
- lock when device wakes up to ON
- lock when back-light turns off to ON
- Power off in 30seconds
- but blank screen only OFF
- blank screen on talk I prefer OFF because you may need to look at something when talking. but you may squeeze more life out of your battery if you select on.

Recover deleted programs
doing a hard reset will reinstall all the factory software. Unfortunatly you will loose all your contacts and files and user installed programs unless you backed up your device and ative sync will see it as a new device you can drag the backed up files to the new device in from your old sync folder in windows

Ringers
MP3's work the best but WAV will also work.
1. Sync your phone to a pc with Activesync 4.1+
2. Open My Computer
3. Open Mobile Device
4. Go to My Documents on Mobile Device
5. Go to My Ringtones on Mobile Device
6. Drag and drop your MP3/WAV files to your My Ringtones folder on Mobile Device.
7. Go into PhoneStart-->Settings-->Phone and change your ringtone!
Forgot the Password
Hard reset your device using the two - buttons along with the power button and the soft reset button.
No more sound from speaker
I had a similar issue on mine. The easy fix was to insert a headset jack and pull it out quickly. I think something got stuck that turns off the speaker after I put the headset in the jack once. If this is the problem, I think you should also see a headset icon when making calls, even though no headset is attached.
