HELP - 2 Super Nintendos w/ Same Problems!

Well for the old consoles to work on digital tv's you need av cables instead of using a rf switch.

I cant tune in my nintendo do you know what its meant to be set too

Hi your NES should have on it's right hand side 2 Audio Video inputs have you tried connecting it to your TV via Audeo Video Cable and selecting Video channel on your TV dont worry about using the old RF switch they are for older TV Units. Here is a picture of what the AV Cables look like http://www.gameoz.com.au/store/nintendo-entertainment-system/nes-accessories/nintendo-nes-audio-video-cable-no-more-tuning.html

Hi i just bought a super nes system it came with RF switch power unit which i have connected to the appropriate connections, i have an LG TV with an golden eye and don't seem to be able to tune the...

Make sure everything's connected in the correct sockets. Turn the SNES on, change to one of the Analogue channels (one of the channels which you control with the TV remote) and start scanning for a signal. The RF cable has to be connected to the analogue port (where a TV aerial would plug in to get analogue channels) and the SNES needs to be switched on.

The alternative is to get a SCART-compatible cable that works with a Gamecube or an N64 and use it with the SNES, as Nintendo had the foresight to add an EXT port which'll let you play the SNES on an AV channel.

Hi i just bought a sper nes system it came with rf

If I am understanding...

If the RF switch comes with a power cord on it, it MUST be plugged in to work. Try plugging it in.

Also check your tv settings. I don't have an HDtv but I do know they have multiple options of "inputs"
If it is an RF modulator and not just a switch, check the settings on that as well. On the one I own I have to designate channel 3 or 4, that could make a difference.

Im trying to tune in my old super nintendo my lcd tv that has built in freeveiw but i cant find the channel!

Has your freeview tv got a built in RF i.e (not a digital freeview) tuner? If it hasnt then you wont be able to tune it into your LCD TV by connecting it through your aerial socket. However I think you can get a cable so that you can plug the nintendo directly into a scart or rgb input. Something like this.

http://www.consoleplus.co.uk/product_info.php?pName=av-cable-for-gamecuben64-and-snes&osCsid=0d6106987e4b7a95fc32bf0d45a3b6d1

Then you can just switch to your scart or rgb source on your telly and play on your snes.

No Picture on TV

Have you tried using a composite connection? Do you know how to access the SCART input on your set? Sometimes the channel up/down buttons don't get you to the A/V inputs.
