My HDC-1086E digital camera turns itself off immediately after being turned on - can anyone help? Louisa

I have the same problem with my HDC-1086E. i use rechargeable camera batteries but as soon as i turn the camera on it turns off but i can put the batteries in my dads camera and they work fine so i dont think its the batteries. Any help would be much appriciated!

You powering it with batteries? if so use alkaline type batteries,normal ones especially cheap ones only last seconds.

Sounds like weak batteries. Possibly a bad battery. May look good till called on then voltage drops fast. Cam goes off, before saving image. Replace batteris.

My camera will turn on, but then turns itself off again immediately. Does anyone know why, and what can be done to fix it?
This has happened to me on numerous occasions here are some steps to check to fix it:
1.Recharge the battery
2.Dust out the place where the battery connects to
3.If your camera has a reset feature, reset it.

My hitachi hdc-991e camera turns itself off after i take photos
It's bad/weak batteries. I had the same problem using Hyundai batteries, thought the camera had broken until I used Duracel instead and it worked as it should. Batteries don't last long in digital cameras full stop, but decent brands like Duracel will help.

My z740 camera will not stay on
I may be able to help with your Kodak EasyShare Z740 that turns itself off.

It may be a 'lens extending' problem, or it might be fixed with a combination of button presses to reset it while turning it on.

Camera turns itself off immediately even though it is fully charged
are you using rechargeable batterys or cheap ones
you have to get batteries specifcly designed for digital cameras or they wont power the camera properly.. try using different batteries !!
