My F8AE fuse from my Gemmy Light Show Controller just blew. I went to Home Depot and Lowe's to find a replacement without any luck. Is there an alternate part number or will another 8 amp fuse work?

i had this happen myself a few months ago, power switch blew, i took the machine apart took out the power switch, and visited a few local electrical component suppliers, its a standard switch but its 2 stage single throw switch, home depot/Lowe's don't carry this type. ended up going to 3 diff suppliers and finally found a commercial supplier that had it connected the new one and now its fine, works better than the old one ever did. just make sure you bring the broken switch with you when you go to show them, most good suppliers can match it and see if they have one like it in stock.

I got the same problem, I already contacted Gemmy they couldn't help me, said they do not make this product no more and gave me a web site to a place that sells their products but they didn't have any replacement remotes. Let me know if you find a way to get it to work without a remote.

disconnect the neg batt cable and bridge it with a test light, it should light up and dim after a few seconds, if it stays bright you have a short in one or more circuits, pull each fuse one at a time to see if you can locate which circuit, good luck

Is the fuse inside the sound box .. does it look like the fuse in the end of the plug .. Thanks

I would take the cover off and you be able to locate the fuse then replace it can buy the fuse at lowes or home depot

Go to planetchristmas.com there are SO many knowledgeable people there. There are forums just for the Gemmy and I suspect you are exceeding too many amps per outlet. But read the forums, you will find your answer and more. Do a search for "Gemmy", Jason Rose has alot of info for this.

The gemmy light shows are amazing when working correctly. BUT that may be for one season only. I bought the white trio set of Christmas trees after one season the trees turned brown, tried to get in touch gemmy. Two days later my reply was I improperly stored my trees. All the other set of trees I've seen turn brown after one season. As far as I know gemmy quit making the white trees. Long story short they did't warranty my trees, as for the lollipops 4 or 5 light systems aren't interchangeable, I tried to replace the led in my 5 light system with a led from a 4 light system the led worked but wouldn't sync. When trying to make repairs you must use parts from alike sets of the same year models, alike models from different years don't work. Also when changing led circuit boards solder the wires the way you take them off or you'll short the board out. If you have bad sets of lights you can make repairs if they are alike.
