Consider reading the Manual for this amp, it explains how to reset to factory with the VFS5 footpedal. Or with the power off ..hold down CH1 & CH4 then turn power on.. when the Bank & Channel leds start blinking.. then release the Channel buttons. Next press the Tap switch ... the bank & channel leds will change from blinking to lit. with in a few seconds it will enter preset mode.

I don't see any connection on a pot that could be touched to cause the problem. OFTEN when screws are too long and they touch a board they can crack the circuit traces or PUSH etch to cause a short.

Use a BRIGHT LED flashlight to "candle" the board for cracks or scrapes. The voltage regulators are current limited and self protecting. The first thing is to determine what the screw touched and look for damage in that area.

I hope you replaced the pots with the CORRECT TAPER as well as resistance value. Whille incorrect taper would not inhibit operation, it would make adjusting the pots in use somewhat difficult.

Your amps will be fine at 50Hz.... just make sure to use a transformer type and not one of those appliance types for hair dryer... the transformer type are heavy.

It would be better to look for the circuit diagram given in the manual of these bikes. Every bike has a manual which has the circuit diagram.

the mesa is for guitar and is not more than 100 watts, the neo dog is 100 watts it will fit but will give a different character because can be push to another limit of saturation the vox doesnt give that much.

Not sure what you electronics ability is, but if I were repairing the amp, I would look to check that there is audio getting through the opamp stage 1C, then the function of the FET 2N3819 to provide the vibrato effect. It has an oscillator driving its gate, that too should be checked for operation. I know it is not a "do this to fix it" repair, but without being able to do these checks with an oscilloscope on the amp, nobody can say for sure what the problem is.
