Pump makes humming noise, like a garbage disposal when it needs a reset, but does not flush.
I have a failed Saniplus with a humming motor. I intend to open it up and inspect the capacitor. I wonder if the failure was due to the "capacitor plague" problem [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague] and not overheating from an object. If it is an electrolytic capacitor and it was bulging and split at the top or bottom, it may be. Thanks for the write-up and the instructions from Saniflo - very necessary because who knew pumping sh*t uphill involved so many parts!
The internal motor capacitor has failed - most common problem with these units
