I had one broken a few months ago. I got a couple quotes.. it was about $200 less then a brand new one. I'd just buy a new one.
For the new TV I'd pickup a screen protector for it. My son threw a toy at my TV the other day and I nearly had a heart attack from the flashbacks. Thank God I picked up one of these a few weeks earlier. It stopped it. LCD screens really break easily as you know. http://www.tv-armor.com

Normally warranty does not cover this kind of physical damage to your lcd screen. First check with your vendor to confirm. To replace the lcd panel is very expensive, may cost you as much as to buy a new one.

Sharp Aquos Lc-65d90u verticle lines and srambled images in one section of screen. Is this the LCD panel and is it worth fixing?

Hello; If there is at least one vertical line that does NOT go FULLY from top to bottom, your LCD panel is cracked. This panel will cost much more than what you paid for the set. WII controllers are responsible for the death of many TV's.

My son was playing the wii and his remote hit the TV. Now the tv will not power on and the power light and opc lights are flashing? Anything I can do?

You probably damaged the panel. If it's under warranty contact Sharp and request service. sharp does not replace panel under warranty . they usually replace the tv. It's worth a try.

My Sharp Aquos LC-42D62U 42 in. HDTV LCD which was bumped into pretty hard and the inside screen on the tv cracked. The crack is only visible when the tv is on can this be fixed or is it garbage

Unfortunatly it is garbage basically.. You can have them repaired using a TV Repair guy but often it costs as much as a brand new LCD. My daughter broke my $1,600 LCD. It would have cost $1,200 to fix.. so I just bought a new one. After that I picked up a TV screen protector called TV Armor http://www.tv-armor.com Its designed to protect the TV from damage. Now I dont have to worry anymore when she is playing near it. It works really well.

Unfortunatly, no.. You will end up spending more on the repair then the cost of a new tv typically.

My (sharp aquos lc 52d62u) tv fell to the ground. Image of broken glass and colored lines appear

Hi,
Unfortunately the panel is cracked internally can't can't be repaired the whole panel has to be replaced. most times the panel will cost as much as you paid for the set. My son cracked ours when it was only 3 weeks old it doesn't take much force to ruin one.

Sharp Aquos LC-42D43U LCD TV

Well, the good thing you got a new TV out of it.
The best and easiest thing to do is sell it on your local Craigslist.
The parts inside the TV can be used to repair other TVs that have no damage to the screens. I would say $100 for the whole thing would be fair price for all the parts inside.
If nobody wants to buy it on Craigslist, go to Shopjimmy.com and contact them if they want to buy the TV from you. They're all about recycling parts.
