JVC Everio GZ-MG20u Hard Disck Camcorder

My Everio won't power on. It hasn't been used in about 4 months and hasn't been dropped or anything. I've tried recharging the battery and replacing the ac adapter. Nothing is working. Is there a reset button? It was purchased in Feb of 2006, so it is out of the manuf. warr. How can i get this fixed? I do have video I don't want to lose, on the hard drive.

i have a similar problem it will turn on but I can't shoot video because it just has a black screen gz-mg40u

It does have a reset button. When you open the lcd door, look at the bottom of where the lcd opens, you will see a small area that says reset.

Also, there is an option in the menu that allows you to restore the harddrive. That may help as well, your hard drive may have gotten corrupted.

JVC GZMG30U is frozen. Haven't used it for years and I need to get the pics off of it. I turn it on and it won't turn off. Can't focus anything, can't change from pics to video.

I am looking for a web cam driver for my JVC GZ MG20U Video Camcorder.

This will not work as webcam, since when you connect it to USB, it will be detected as external drive. No hardware inside that can support webcam function. Sorry
