Connect it to a different computer. If it still fails to be recognized, then it is a hardware problem. Exercise the warranty to get the device repaired/replaced, at minimal cost to you.

try in other's computer it may be due to virues too

maybe you need to reinstall usb drivers. did you check device manager to see if any conflicts exist?

Try looking for the drive in the "Disk Management".
Right click on "My Computer" or "Computer" and select "Manage" then select the "Disk Management" item.

If you can see the drive, but there is no drive letter assigned, you may need to format it for your operating system or create an accessible partition on the drive. You can access all these options by right clicking on the drive from the "disk management" screen that you should be on.

mine needed to be initialized (by right clicking on it) and then i formated it
