Need diagram of switch for a 6302 drill

Makita doesn't furnish online schematics for replacement parts, BUT you can call their tech department and they should be able to send one as a PDF. Call them at 1-800-4625482. They do have one online for the original switch at "makitausa.com" but not the replacement. Let me know if you need more assistance.

When you have it open, check carbon brushes. This schema might help you (even if it's not the same model)

Look at eReplacementParts.com and the parts diagrams.

I have a wiring diagram that I could email you. I took it out of my Makita book and just made a copy of it.

If this is a Makita tool I would go to Makitausa.com and type in your model number to look at or download a parts diagram for this tool. Let me know if you need further help.

the transmission comes in assy. all u can do is to match the gear & test every small installed. if it's dw997 see www.erplacementparts.com for your guide how to re-assemble.
if dw988 trans diagram see similarity on how to put it back.
