you don't say which exact photo frame but here are some ideas that work on many. try powering off and unplugging, wait a minute or so, then plug back in and turn on. are they gone? if not, look for a reset button, pin hole and try resetting. good luck.

Try this procedure to drain the static energy of the phone.

1. unplug power from base
2. unplug phone connection from base
3. remove cover and battery from handset
4. wait 10 minutes
5. put battery back, reattach phone connection and power

Keep in mind that Digital Photo Frame can display the same photo continuously for 1000 hours without any damage to the LCD screen.
If you can enter to the settitgn menu, first make sure the system is properly powered. Then use a pin to trigger the reset button located on the side of the power button on the back to restore the system...



If this isnt work try...

1. Load all the photos you want to upload to the Photo Frame in the root directory of your memory card.
2. Power off your Photo Frame by pressing the Power button.
3. Insert the memory card into the slot in the frame.
   A For a Compact Flash card, firmly slide card in the larger slot end first and face down.
   B For an xD, SD, MMC, or Memory Stick card slide card in the smaller slot end first and face up until it locks into place.

1. Restart Photo Frame by pressing the Power button.
2. After a few seconds, all photos in the root directory of the memory card will be automatically added to Photo Frame. The root directory on memory card will not be emptied after this operation.
   
   Please do not remove the memory card just after inserting it in Photo Frame or when Photo Frame is counting the Photo.
   Wait until the screen is stable.
   
   NOTE: This operation does not apply to photos in sub-directories.

You can try pushing the reset button on the back of the unit. I have one too and the same thing is going on with mine but the reset does not work for me. I think the unit is of low quality parts and it is most likely dead as far as photos are concerned. Hope this helps.

I have discovered the problem
There is two things. First that the memory card used cannot be more than 2 GB and second that each image file cannot be larger than 2 MB. My photos where much larger than this and I discovered in the manual that it "hints" to pictures being 2 MB in size, I re-sized my pictures and no longer received this error. hope this helps.

To fix this issue:

1. Unplug the Unit
2. Unplug the Phone Cord
3. Disconnect the Battery from the Handset
4. Wait 10-15 minutes… and put back together in Reverse Order
5. Connect the Handset Battery
6. Plug-in the Phone Cord
7. Plug-in the Unit

You can do this w/o the phone cord attached.

I followed these steps that were listed, but it didn't work. Then I increased the time in step to an hour, and it worked

I called GE support. I was told
1. unplug power from base
2. unplug phone connection from base
3. remove cover and battery from handset
4. wait 10 minutes
5. put battery back, reattach phone connection and power

It solved the problem.

I think this is how you do it, from the buttons on top of the frame hit exit several times until you get to the screen with options like, photo, file, music, etc. Once on that screen hit setup button and choose factory default. I believe that resets it.

My philips Photo Frame does not work. It just get the "Please Wait" message when I start the photo frame. But nothing happens after that. Can someone help me please. I have reset the button, but nothing happens.

Have done that, reset the unit, tried all combination of re-installing software, starting program 1st, plugging in unit 1st. pressing power button, resetting unit while USB is plugged in adn not plugged in, holdig doen power button and reset, holding pwr button while plugging in, and about 20 more combination. The screen says "UPDATING", the little light is"GREEN", the battery meter shows "FULL", when you unplug unit screen goes black and "NOTHING"... "0", "NADA", piece of **** !
