My gateway 503gr will not power on when you press the power button has power to mother board every thing is plugged in there is a green light on the power supply and the mother board and the power switch...

This could have a bad power supply (in this case I would try a new one just in case).
All other things being normal, I would guess a bad motherboard.
The best thing to do is disconnect everything but the CPU and memory and try to start it.
If it starts, then start connecting stuff until it doesn't start--this will tell you what is bad.

Bought new power supply, no difference power button will not even go on or light up ; however small green light on mother board lights up. als accidentaly disconnected the switches wiring to the mother...

The green light just show that the motherboard is getting power.
The power button of the front of the case is connected to the mother board, not to the power supply, usually in the extreme lower left corner along with the with the HDD and Reset Button cords; Power button wire are labeled and usually red/black.
If all wired correctly, possible bad or stuck power button or reset button.
Hope this helps.

Gateway 825gm wont tun on. just replaced on/off switch. greem light on power supply and mother board blinking green

Make sure the small cable from the switch to the mother board hasn't come loose. It comes loose fairly easily when reinstalling the cooling fan plenum. Its happened to me twice. Its even possible to plug it in the wrong place. Doesn't hurt to double check.

My a730n computer will not turn on. The green light flashes in the back. Local frys tested power supply and said it was working. Fans dont come on...nothing?

it could be a mother board problem or Power supply issue. Even if the power supply works it wont supply required voltage to some components. Its better you get a new power supply and test it.Still its not working it could be a mother board issue. There will be a chance for power button issue also.

I press the power button on the front and no fans run

Sounds like your power supply is not supplying 12v to the system. Check all your power connectors are seated properly on your motherboard, if so then i'm afraid you need a new power supply.

Gateway GT5014 will not boot.

Ok, this is a mother board issue. the entire mother board seems to be malfunctioning. the blinking amber/green light is confirming this. the mother board may have some fried circuitry and it will have to be replaced in this situation.

I would recommend extracting the mother board and stripping it. look for any discoloring factors that will lead to a burn out location. this will direct you to the necessary repair zone.

Please rate and have a great day:)

Gateway will not turn on.

Sounds like the power supply. Here is the part number that you can shop for online.
Bestec ATX-300-12EB3 power supply. Rev. S2

I found them on Yahoo shopping for as low as $47.39.

Hope this helps.
