Test page keeps printing; then scanning error message-in a loop!!

I have a PSC 1500 series HP printer/copier/scanner. like others, the printer prints a test page every time I turn the printer on. when I scan the test page as recommended I get the following error message and so I'm still stuck with the problem.
''Pen Alignment Failed due to an incorrect page being in the Scanner.''

SOURCE: installed new black ink cartridge in HP PSC 2110

Did you check the print.
Do you feel the print quality is very good in color and black.
Any portion of print is missing.
If yes then you change with original new and do the alignment.

My hp c3150 prints a test page every time i turn it on

Do this. The next time it prints a test page, keep the same test page under the scanner and push the scan button on the c3150. This would complete the test cycle and it would not print test pages from the next time.

Test printing made every time when the machine (HP PSC 1510) turned on.

Hi,

I used to have the same problem with the 1510 and other HP models. The solution is not to have any paper in the tray when you turn it on. When the error flashes up, hold the cancel/resume button (it will be flashing orange on the printer) until all activity ceases in the printer. You can then cancel the message on the PC and load the paper when you are ready to print.

Take the test page ( also called : alighnment page ) that always prints when you switch on the printer and place it face down in the scanner.

Then press the scan button on the printer itself.
(this is the button at the bottom of all the buttons on the printer/scanner.)

Make sure that the printer scans the test page.
( sometimes you press the butoon and it doesn't scan )
( it makes a scanning noise when scanning succesfully )

Then it will stop printing the test page ( alignment page ) ever again.

This is a really stupid product feature on HP's part to waste ink and force people to buy more cartriges.
