Direct drive turntables have electronically controlled speed. If the records you are playing are warped (not flat) that will cause wow & flutter. If that's not the problem then you might try connecting the turntable to a different power outlet using a long extension cord. Failing that, the turntable needs repair.
make sure printer is off,
turn Main Power off as well,
1. turn on power switch on top, but leave Main Power off
2. while having the top switch on, turn on the Main Power switch and at the same time press 6 continues times bottoms (#4, Energy Saver, Stop) or until you see boot mode hdd format mode on your left corner let go and waiting till is done and ready.
take the arm as far forward as you can, then back as far as you can, so it clicks, then un plug the power lead & switch the unit on to drain the power out of the board.
wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in & on, then check the anti-skate (if it has one )
If it is a turnatable that starts spining when the arm is moved to the record, then more than likely the start/stop switch inside the turnable is broken and is fixed in the on position. Or the leaver mechanism has become detached from the arm when the record was playing and left the other part pressing on the same switch that turns the motor on or off. Removing the bottom of the turntable should should show the trouble.
I am in a similar situation. I recently discovered that exact model turntable in our storage room. The Philips 312. While looking it over, I noticed the stylus is broken. I was wondering where you purchased yours?
