If your TV has RCA jacks on the back or front. Input type. Then you can go to radio shack and get a vga cable to RCA jack converter. That is all you can do. Is the TV a flat screen if yes then you can hook up you pc with a monitor cable like your usine now in your house. Find out the type of TV.. Ask someone to check the tv for a computer port on the back.

you will needto radio shack and see if the have a vga to svideo out you must have the yellow and white and red as well ask them for computer vga to rca. This is the only way to do it

Depending on how modern your tv is - see if your tv has a VGA input (it looks like a mini scart socket) if so - you can connect your acer laptop vga lead. If you need audio output from your tv aswell you will also need a 3.5 jack extention lead which will also connect directly from your laptop into the tv..
