Problem: dust in the gaps near lens which makes it jammed. Effect: the sceen shows blk color. Solution: just blow over it or vaccum it.

My canaon camera len is not going in it is showing error and asking for restart please solve my problem it is ixus 900ti and it not fallen down

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism is usually the culprit. A single grain of sand can do it. Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them:

Can you help got a canon cp900 camera i drop it and it saying lens error restart camera what do i do

Sorry to tell you the the lens is out of alignment. This happens quite often (had the same happen to me). These end up in the repair shop or getting tossed in favor of an ebay or craigslist replacement due to the cost to repair. Good luck.

Lens error

This is probably THE most common failure among digital cameras. There's a halfway chance of fixing it yourself, described here: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html

Stuck lens

The lens needs to be repaired or replaced. Could be one of several problems, sand, impact damage, broken gears. A professional camera repair shop should be able to do this for a reasonable price.

Canon SD900

First off, see if Canon can help you. If not, the following blog outlines some repair options for a lens error. They won't work for all cases, but they're worth a try: http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/12/fixing-lens-error-on-digital-camera.html
