If the power relay clicks, this means that the coil is good but the relay contacts may be dirty (contacts need to be cleaned or the relay replaced).

If the relay does not click, then it might be a bad fuse, a bad relay coil or a faulty relay drive circuitry, no power to the relay drive circuit, possibly an internal overload or a short somewhere in the unit which causes the unit to stay off to protect itself from further damage that might occur if it had turned on.

How to determine if Protector O/L relay is bad and how to "reset the unit".

The relay is used to take the start capacitor and start winding out of the circuit once the compressor has come up to speed. Using an ohm meter, no power to the unit, and relay disconnected, you can determine if the relay contacts are open or closed. With no power to the unit, the contacts should be closed. If they are open, the relay is bad. However, the start capacitor could be the problem.

What's your problem?sony v444es 5,1 wont turn on, only clicks the relay on power board non stop

Sounds like your power transformer is bad. You might also check the power board for cracks. This model had a history of that.

92 accord runs rough at a stop and sometimes wont start right away after driving for awhile

Have your main power relay replaced as your problem is the typical symptom of a bad main relay, when it gets hot after driving and trying to restart. The running rough problem might be your center engine mount. Have it checked to see if it's bad.

06 vue cooling fan wont shut off tried new relay swich and the 40a fuse is obviously good. what could it be, temp sending unit?

The power for the fan comes from 2 relays in the
junction block on the left fender. One is a high fan relay 40amp the other is the low fan relay 20amp.
If either one is stuck, it will power the fan. Also if the
engine coolant temp(ect)sensor is bad, it can send a
false signal to the engine control module(ecm) and powering the fan. With the engine cool, if the fans still
running. Unplug the ect sensor(on thermo. housing)
if the fan stops replace the sensor. If not pull the relays one at a time. And see which one stops the fan. If none of this works it may be an ecm problem.
Hope this helps.

The Horn wont stop beeping so I took the fuse out now my battery dying every morning.

Most vehicles have relays to run different things and in most cases the relay gets power before the fuse so if you pulled the fuse the relay is more than likely still getting power. It may be that you just have a bad relay. You can also find the horn itself and simply un plug the power supply wire going to it.

My blower motor for my 1993 dodge dakoto w/3.9 v6 has stopped working,my fuses are good, but nut getting power to the power plug

Then you are possibly have a bad relay or a bad switch. Check the relay under the hood and make sure it is good. If the relay seems to be good replace the switch on the dash.

Hi, just replaced the capacitor thinking that would solve the problem but it appears it did not. The motor outside would kick on the unit inside would kick on but the blower motor inside works sometimes...

Turn off the power to the air handler(indoor unit). Remove the access panel. From the motor, trace the wires back to the fan relay. One wire will probably trace back to the incoming power terminal. The other is the fan relay. It could be intermittent thermostat signal to the relay or a bad relay.
To verify if the fan motor is good, you can remove the one wire from the relay and re-attach it to the other side of the incoming power terminal. If it runs OK there, replace the relay. If it does not run, replace the blower motor.
