Where can I buy a replacement charger for my Dremel 1100. Lost my charger

The flashing light indicates an error, possibly your battery is shot or malfunctioning. New battery needed.

First you need to get an equivalent charger and some type of male/female or contact harness. This will have to have at least three pins as that is what is already on the Dremel. Now the difficult decision, do you want to open up the Dremel if it's still under warranty? If you don't mind opening it then my solution will work. Open up the Dremel and look at the inside of the contacts. As this is a DC charger it can only have positive and negative terminals. You say there are three contacts, so there will either be two positive and one negative or two negative and one positive. Most likely there will be a bridge wire between the two terminals with the same polarity. Strip a little of the insulation from the terminal wires and solder new leads to your contact harness. Noting the polarity of each pin/contact on the new harness wire the other part of the contact harness to the charger. You will most likely have to make a small hole in the Dremel's outer cover to allow the wires to pass through. As you own a Dremel I'm sure you are capable of attempting this easy bit of DIY. There is only one problem, If the third contact plate is a return signal to the charging base it might be to inform the charger when the battery is full. In this case the terminals inside the Dremel will not be bridged and I suggest you buy a new or secondhand charger. Hope this helps

Change tha capacitor 220uF and it will probably be fine! I did and now it is as new!

Change the capacitor 220uF 25V and it will charge properly again (at least that is the result I got and several others here at FixYa).

Easy to do and cheap (component around 0,2 Euros) work about 2 min,.

I will send you to the dremel website where you can watch a video on the dremel model 1100 and it will explain how to use it and change bits,cutters,ect.
Do change your bit without going to the website push down on the large button on top to lock the tool, and then you wil loosen the bit holder bu turning it anticlockwise to loosen the grip on the tool you have in the bit holder.

My stylus is doing exactly the same thing. l was advised by numerous people to change the capacitor in the charging dock, they also said that you can find youtube videos to guide you through it (the capacitor only cost a few cents when l bought it). I really should finish doing that job, although l did actually remove the 'screws'' from the base, l warn you- they are triangle and a nightmare to unscrew, see if you can find a triangle screwdriver BEFORE you start, or you'll end up doing what l did and destroying a perfectly good straight screwdriver!??. Change the capacitor 220uF and it will most certainly work again. I got the idea from FixYa and it solved my problem!
Easy to change just 2 soldering points and a component costing around 0,2 Euros. If you do not know how to operate a soldering tool ask someone for a quick assistance. The switch takes around 2 min (1,5 min to open the charger and 0,5 min to change the component!).
