Ic no 8893,what is the ENTIRE no? - Televison & Video

Hello sir I have the problem in a china kit ic number 8893 tv on standby ,power supply are good but raster problem I found in eht,whit will I do.

Replacing the board would be best. You can replace the IC chip but there was a reason the chip burned out. You would need to diagnose the board and find the cause of the short that killed that chip and replace the other parts before you replaced the IC chip. By the time you do this you could have purchased the new board. If you are an experienced repair tech then it may be worth the repair but just for a user then no its not. Ebay has that board available from several sellers for less than $50.

Resolder entire the video section first where the crt socket is located, look the vertical IC & System control IC for loose pins for solder. Check the ABL for open resistor and fault video ic located at CRT socket.

Try to check cable connector from main board to controller board, Check entire main board resolder voltage reg. ic, check MCU IC, Scalar IC, EEPROM IC and Crystal Capacitor.

If the IC your talking about has a designation number of IC601, the number is MX0841AB-F. Common regulator IC. Sony says that IC is no longer avaialable. You may get lucky and take out the entire G board and have ptscorp.com, or Tristate.com repair the board for you. Good Luck
