What is the brand name and model number to your TV? It sounds like something shorted board inside it. Contact any service technician.

The set is in shutdown because of a problem inside, this model has the three strikes and your out, it will try three times to come on and then latch down. It likely needs a shop repair of some kind.

call sears they only charge $99 to come out and free estimate. mine cost $300 to fix and works great

Contact Microsoft and they can resolve your problem. If this is a pirated version, just give them the name and phone number of the person/company you got it from and Microsoft will give you a free copy.

I have this same problem. The power supply board is bad, though all of the capacitors appear to be fine. No brown spots, no burnt connections, no puffy caps.

The power supply part is R0800-0810D and I can only find it on ebay for $50 plus shipping.

What model RCA do you have? There is a difference from diagnosing the DLP and CRT projection units. Let me know the model number.
