SOURCE: kenmore top load (model # 110 82370120) drain problem

Good AM. I see here that you have a fairly old belt drive Kenmore washer. The real problem with these is that the parts for them are so very expensive anymore to get. A timer (which you may be needing) will run you around $100.00 to $175.00 depending on where you live. Very expensive repairs on these, but if you want to go for it, here are some hints to help. Sounds like you have one of three problems. First off PLEASE UNPLUG YOUR MACHINE BEFORE WORKING ON IT. Your timer may have lost or has a stuck contact inside (unrepairable in most cases) which is making it do something is shouldnt be doing in that area of the timer. This would probably be the most expensive of your repair. The next thing is it could be the water level switch could be going bad. This one is highly doubtful since it fills and stops filling, but I have heard (but never have seen) that they can short out sometimes and cause wacky operation. Both these issues can be fixed by remove the console rear panel and front knobs to remove both. The next item could be a defective wig-wag in the bottom of the unit. One of the positioning solinoids maybe going bad and sending bad signals back to the timer.

None of these problems are really hard to fix. And truthfully (even though some of these guys will be mad) you can sometimes find these parts on ebay for a halfway good price. Part numbers for each are:

Timer: 381860
Water Level Switch: 359712
Wig-Wag: 89814

Good luck with this one, and if you know how to use one, try to run resistance with an ohm-meter on your wig-wag to be sure your getting power flow through the soilnoids (you will have 2, be sure to unplug the solinoids before testing to be sure its a true test) before replacing.

SOURCE: washing machine stops mid cycle and lights start flashing

Drain the water by lowering the hose into a bucket or something and then try it on spin, if it spins o/k then you probably have blocked pump or filter.
The filter is located in the large black hose that is fastened to the bottom of the drum, remove and clean.
Hopefully this will solve the problem.

Thanks.

SOURCE: Doesnot stop filling water

To javed_iqb904, does the drum actually fill or does it seem like that water is draining out as it's filling?

To neonllama19, if it fills with the tap on and the machine off, it sounds like a defective water valve. If it never stopped filling it sounds like a defective pressure switch or hose to the pressure switch is loose or diconnected.

SOURCE: Westinghouse SB907 - Water draining out right after filling up

The drain hose has to have a loop in it. In other words as the drain hose exits the dishwasher, it must go up at least 18 inches before it goes down into the drain. If not, the water will siphon out of the machine.

SOURCE: stops in the middle of wash cycle

Hi!

If the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:
It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.
It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.
Please do rate this solution as FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Figora industrial touch plus washing machine says error 5 fill error

There are several possibilities for this error.
Start with the basics first. Is your water is on, is
your load is balanced, did you over fill or stop mid cycle or a power failure.
sometimes if you interrupt thr cycle it gets stuck and can't move on and it has to be rebooted like a computer.
Empty your clothes out of the washer and press cancel and drain the machine. If it drains and cancels try another cycle
If nothing is working unplug your washer and leave it unplugged for a hour, then plug back in and see if it resets. If it doesn't unplug for 24 hours and try again.
Run a cycle that you never use and see if it works.
If these solutions don't work. Message back with more information so I will be able to give you other ideas to try

Machine lost power during wash cycle.

If the electricity does power off in the middle of washing cycles the washing machine will turn off then. Some of the most common problems that will make your washer turn off during mid cycle can include thermostat failure or issues filling up with water for the rinse cycles or even problems with the pump and the hose that can stop your washer from draining the water. You should call a person that fixes washing machines to have a look and see what the problem is with your washing machine.

Hi. Trying to open locked door on a brand new westinghouse WWF1274 washing machine - just installed. Thanks!

Possible child safety lock.
Is the light on under the temp and spin buttons? If so,push those two buttons at the same time and hold till unlock

Also in wash cycle where water is still in the machine, the door will be locked and must first be shut off then turned back on and choose rinse and spin then start to get the water out of the machine. It should unlock after completion.

The manual for this machine is here:

My washing stopped working mid cycle. I checked

the timer is probably sticking (needs replacement) or lid safety switch stuck open. try restarting the load and if stops at the same place it is the timer unit, if it fills up with water and than stops - lid switch.

Err 10 message on Fridgidaire front load washer

The E10 error indicates a long fill error meaning the machine thinks it took to long to fill with water.
We recommend u to check that the drain tube is now stuck to far into the stand pipe and possible causing as siphoning problem, and that the screens on the water valve inlet are cleaned and not slowing the water flow.
u can hook the drain hose off, forcethe  water through it with a water hose, unclog the stinky mess and  hook it back up again and  work it.. tat woul do..
Plz rate this solution.. thank you..
