LG 3 in 1 Dishwasher model LD2131SH showing E1, leaks water

The dishwasher started leaking water and shortly afterwards showed the E1 error.

After receiving the E1 error, I checked the inlet filter and it is clean. No bends in the inlet pipe either and I have good water pressure.

I then unplugged the dishwasher for a couple of hours, and then switched it on again.

It does not come up with the E1 error anymore, but leaks a lot of water now (within 5 minutes). When I open the device, the whole floor section is flooded with water. I cleaned the floor section filters as well, to no avail..same problem.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Otto

LG dishwasher LD2080TH Error code: E1

LG has programmed in the E1 error code to indicate when the drain pump is running, it is not receiving the back pressure it needs. This is most likely an indication that there is a water leak in the draining system.

LG dishwasher error code E1

E1 is a code that the dishwasher displays after detecting a leak. There is a sensor on the pan at the very bottom of the unit. Take the bottom front panel off, look under the unit at the hose coming off the pump and your fill line to be sure no water is dripping. Run the unit in a wash cycle while doing this if possible.

What is an E1 error code for an LG Dishwasher? Model LD12AW2

Please check at both ends of the drain hose and confirm that you do nit have a leak. Also, please confirm that water is not leaking directly under the dishwasher.
If you are certain that you do not have a real leak, check the impeller (under the mesh filter in the sump area beneath the lower dish rack) is not damaged and is firmly in place.
The E1 error code is a Leakage Error, detected by the motor spinning faster than it should if the unit is filled with water.
Please report back with what you find. Good Luck!
