Pioneer vsx-519 no sound from center and surround

I have hooked up my new receiver. It is a pioneer vsx-519. I get no sound from the center and surround speakers. When I go to speaker set up I get sound (static in all speakers). My T.V., X-box 360, and PS3 all work but only from the two front speakers and the subwoofer. Thanks for any help.

Make sure that the sound field/programme you have selected is dolby digital not stereo.(On the amp)
You also need to check on the display that is says DIGITAL not ANOLOUGE, as only a digital input, Optical fibre cable, HDMI, COAX will be a digital signal.
If you are using red and white rca connectors, it is not going to work, as this is an Anolouge signal.

I have a Pioneer VSX 823 - K, and when I hook up my Klipsch HG-12 300 watt subwoofer to it, the receiver is prone to overheating or just shutting off with too much bass. Is there a fix to this?

This is receiver thermal going in protect issue and has no bearing to your sub, The sub has its own power amp and not supplied by the receiver. Thermal module may be bad. See a tech.

Can I use my Pioneer VSX-D412 receiver to hook up my surround system to my new Samsung HDTV?

Yes, both receiver and tv have optical/digital connectors, or alternatively, the S-video connector. The Pioneer will decode the compressed 5.1 signal coming from the tv unit.

No sound of voice, only surround sound

If you do not have a center channel speaker connected, then in the reciever setup menu for speakers, there should be a selection for center channel that says something like either yes or no. I'm guessing it says yes. Then you need to select "no" so that the circuitry will direct sound specified for the center channel to be reproduced through your front speakers.

Pioneer receiver vsx-d510 sub not working

Rear Surrounds are not supported on this unit, they would be the 6th and 7th channels in a 7.1 rig. I think you mean Surrounds (channels 4 and 5 in a 5.1 rig).

Lets ponder: How is there any relationship between Surrounds and your separately-amplified Subwoofer? I don't see it, unless you inadvertently chose OFF for the Sub definition when you were in the Speaker selection menus adding the Surrounds. Look again.

I have pioneer receiver Vsx-454 i want to know if this receiver is 5.1 surrounds

Yes. It is 5.1 surround. There are 2 front channels, 1 center channel, and 2 rear channels which comprise the "5" in 5.1 surround. The pre-amp output channel for a sub is the ".5".

Pioneer VSX-815 speaker wiring

You can hook them up either way, the banana jacks are good for hooking two speakers to one terminal (ie one through the botton, one banana) but the electrical connection is the same either way. Sometimes the banana capable jacks are on speakers A and speakers B, and the surround don't accept banana plugs, your stuck with how your reciever is wired.

Center channel

Just to rule out the easy solutions, have you made sure no settings changed? Make sure that you didn't accidentally turn off any surround sound settings or turn off the center channel in the MCACC setup or the like (I have the VSX-D814, so your receiver should have MCACC as well). If you're sure no settings changed and the center channel should be working according to the receiver, then it would appear that the center channel amp went out in the receiver. You can either get a Pioneer service center to take a look at it, or if you're comfortable with electronics, I believe you can get the parts straight from Pioneer.
