Dishwasher started last night, but cut off after water filled bottom. When you push buttons there is no power.....no lights comes on. We checked electric source and power is available, but it will not turn on. Any ideas?
Sounds like a thermal fuse that is a less than $20 part. remove the top 6 screws in the door that hold the plastic front panel on. Behind that is a circuit board and a white flat 1" square fuse with two wires going to it. make sure power is off at breaker. Test with an meter to see if any current is going thru. If not, that is most likely your problem, and just follow the fuse replacement kit instructions carefully, including putting the new wires on the new fuse like they say. Otherwise, the original wires going to the fuse will blow it too.
Should take about 20 minutes.
You might want to check the float, it might have gotten stuck, it is the round thing in the corner.
The problem is with the circuit or control board (not sure of the name), which is covered in the warranty (it was for us). The whole piece that holds all the buttons for settings comes off and is replaced by a new one. Then all power is restored and everything works (the question is.. for how long?).
I went directly through Maytag and they will look up the warranty info etc.
Good Luck
Our dishwasher wouldn't drain and my husband found there was a clog in the plastic drain tube, under the sink, connecting to the main drain. He squeezed it and bent it a few times where he felt the clog, we then plunged the sink and in a minute or two we turned the dishwasher back on and it drained.
Good Luck

I was able to get mine going just like new by replacing the switch panels on the front and top of the door. This model is prone to water intrusion into the panel switches due to unsealed gaps between the panels and the door housing. This causes a variety of problems and symptoms depending where the water gets in.. Mine was stuck on quick wash and didn't clean dishes very well.. I tore it apart and found a lot of water under the panel and corrosion on the ribbon cable that connects the switch panel to the control circuit board. I took a chance and ordered the $90 switch panel because it looked pretty bad. (Pics attached) The control board looks brand new and was replaced with the switches 4 yr ago under warranty. Before I installed the switch panels I put a bead of silicone around the edge of the switch panel to fill in the gap and keep water out. It's a pretty good dishwasher with a stainless tub and 4 washer blades. After the fix all the modes work and it cleans very well. I'm hoping it will last a long time with some minor maintenance. Best wishes to all. Here's a link I used as well. http://www.gcsdblogs.org/roodhouse/?p=728
I have a (6 mos old) Maytag QuietSeries 300 that was not draining. I found this out after I had to replace the garbage disposal. The dishwasher has a small accordion-like hose that leads to the garbage disposal for draining. I detached the hose from the garbage disposal and pushed it back through the cabinet to try to release any plugs or crimping. Leaving it unplugged, I pointed the hose into a large pan and closed the dishwasher, and turned it on the "rinse only" cycle. After it started, I hit the "cancel" button. This began the pump to drain the water. It worked! The water began flowing through the hose again! It took 2 pans exchanging water from the hose, but finally drained completely. Hopefully, this will work for you.

I have same problem, repairman came today and said he thinks it's the control panel but can't find the model # so he can;t order the part.Where is this fuse located?
The dishwasher would work intermittently. The front panel switches seemed to be the problem. I replaced the front panel, it worked for about a month, and now seems to be worse than before. The start switch has been dead for a week. Is it potentially the control board? I'm debating on ordering a control board ~$80 or buying a new dishwasher (not maytag). It is about a $450 machine, and I've already got about $170 trying to repair between part and service call. Should I cut my losses and buy another or try control board.
it is definitely the control panel. This is covered under warranty.
My 2 year old Maytag just die. The control panel stops working for almost a month. Since I don’t plan to keep this washer (takes too long to wash, rusty screws inside), I took it apart to see if any thing obvious. I was surprise to find a whole family of small roaches living inside the circuit board housing. The roach drop covered many circuitries. I suspect that's what shorted out the machine. Also, I found the circuit board has a thin layer of clear coating that’s start to flake. I wish Maytag will do a better job sealing the circuit housing.
Same issue here too.Where is one of the best internet sources for thermal fuses for Maytag dishwashers?
Another thought is the Home Warranty policies can sometimes be economical in my past experience but have a $50.00 deductible per call and range from $250(just kitchen appliances) - $475 for whole house/ AC and sometimes even septic coverage.
Thanks,

The start button won't work, all the others will.
I also have the Maytag Quiet Series 300 and it keeps water at the bottom rather it runs or just sits there.
I have a Maytag Quiet series 300 circut breaker tripped cut power to disposal and dishwasher, turned on the circut breaker disposal works but the washer won't power up.
