SOURCE: insignia ns-50l240a13 no video but I do have audio.

It appears the solder in florescent lamp has failed. Unlike Plasma monitors, an LCD monitor requires a light source to be able to view the screen.

No sound, no picture, it states no signal.

You can just buy a new remote. Test it using the smartphone front camera trick. Or it is the television that has no signal, do a Power Reset. Pull the mains plug for 5 minutes. Press and hold the power button on the set for 1 minute. Plug back in. Also check the input leads on the back for whatever is supplying the signal, Cable, Satellite, OTA, then check the Source button on the remote.

Why is my sound not working on my insignia fire tv edition NS-39DF310NA21. It won’t let me turn my sound on

Make sure that the audio cables are properly connected for the source (component, composite video or VGA/DVI (computer or other device)). Disconnect any cable in the headphone port.

Was the TV ever used with an audio receiver? If so, the TV speakers may have been turned off. Go to the Home Menu. Go to Settings > Display and Audio > Audio Output > TV Speakers and set this to On. (For Quick settings, press and hold Home. Then go to Sound > TV Speakers and set to On.) If you have a universal remote, the remote could be set to give all audio commands to a receiver. Try the remote so the Audio commands go to the TV. (This will depend on the remote. Please add a comment with the remote brand, model and type (often inside the battery compartment) for the full programming information.)

If you are using external speakers with a receiver, you may need to change the audio settings to PCM for a digital audio output. (This is in the same Audio Output section of the standard menu.)

I hope this helps.

(I've locked several remotes to the audio system which causes this type of problem when the home theater system needs a wiring repair.)

This step may could depend on the model of your Insignia TV. The following applies to the Insignia 39" NS-39DR510NA17 . For the first time setup, press the Home button on the Roku remote and select the Antenna TV icon. Use the on-screen prompts to scan for channels.

I have a Insignia Plasma tv model NS-42P650A11 it is not getting any channels now. Worked then the other day it stopped having any channels, I've unhooked everything for awhile then rehooked everything...

First, I'm not a Insignia representative.
* Check your warranty. call for support.

*** Following for information only.***
* No signal means no usable signal for a specific input on the TV or monitor. Check your cable box. Contact your cable service provider.
* If it's just a monitor and not a multi-function TV that also has a Computer to video input then you need to check the device that's hooked up to the monitor as single function monitor's usually only have one input.
* If this is a TV then you need to go to the TV menu and check the "Input Source" to make sure it's on the input plug your using. (I'm using HDMi-2 on my laptop to TV)
* If it's not on the correct input then there will be a different signal (DVD, VCR, etc.) or none at all (No Signal) if those units are turned off.
* Unplug all devices (to reset) and count to 10. Power up and perform set up to your existing configuration.
* Note; as of Jan 2018 most cable TV are not broadcasting in analog (chan 3) and must use a digital tuner to get signal. Some cable Co. provide converters (for a fee?)
* Check with your service provider for more information.
Aloha, ukeboy57

PS, If you do have a damaged input (or feed) then check your video device for alternative outputs; IE: RCA Vid-Right-Left audio, HDMI, Split video (Y-G-B), VGA, S-plug, etc.

* This your model?; https://www.cnet.com/products/insignia-ns-42p650a11/specs/
* I notice there is no cable input. Try switching to another of inputs;
2 x HDMI input - rear
Composite video input - rear
S-Video input - rear
2 x component video input - rear
Audio line-out
VGA input - rear
2 x audio line-in - rear
Digital audio output (optical)

Make sure your source is properly assigned and switched to respected input. Your speakers should also be engaged.

How do you hook up an mp3 player to insignia ns-r2000

You will need an Dual RCA to 3.5mm stereo cable. One similar to this: http://www.dcables.net/Dual-RCA-to-3_5-mm-Stereo-Cable-5-Feet.aspx
It would probably be easier to pick one up at your local Wal-Mart or Radio Shack.
Just connect the RCA connectors to one of the audio line inputs and the 3.5mm to your mp3 player. Set your insignia to receive the source you just connected.
Hope this helps

I have Insignia ns-p42q-10a tv, there is a loud hum when the volume is on when you mute the volume it goes away? Any suggestions?

check other inputs AVI, HDMI,,

do you here the hum on all inputs?

The hum maybe from a bad ground loop,, unplug all pluged in inputs, [dvd, games, radio, ect] <--check for hum.

If the hum is gone, plug inputs back in one at a time and test,,

When you find the source of the hum, go get a ground loop isolator to fix.

Insignia NS-LCD37 TV - no sound

Start checking the cable connection to receiver, try moving or replacing cables.

If you have a surround with external speakers check surround connection cable and speakers wiring.

If the cables are OK, then the unit may be faulty.

In that case the fault can be either the audio board (often audio circuit is integrated on the main board) , or the sinput output signal board.
Also a contact on connection to internal speakers can give you same problem.
