Hp 4250 GHOSTING

I hgave a 4250 that was ghosting (light repitition of print). I put a new HP maintenance kit in it and everything looks greaton plain paper, however now we noticed on letterhead and envelopes the toner smudges off, it's not getting fully bonded to the paper. It does not happen on regular white paper.

I think it is a power supply problem, not getting enough voltage to the fuser to bond on heavier paper - do you agree?

Are you telling the machine that paper type is letter head or envelopes, It must be done, it changes temp of fuser to suit the paper type, no it is not a power supply problem change paper type to card stock/thick/letterhead etc to suit then machine will adjust temp to suit.. ie file, print properties paper type.

50.2 fuser error replace fuser.

My HP Laserjet P2055dn prints out with a shadow of everything printed.

Hello,

The ghosting is caused by the fuser assembly. The main user roller has a Teflon coating that keep the toner from sticking, when the coating wears off you start getting the ghost printing like you are having. You can get replacement fusers online from many sources, just do a Google search for P2055DN Fuser. They are user replaceable, only requiring a Phillips screwdriver to replace.

I hope this helps, if so please rate my solution.

Ghosting

Normally ghosting is caused by a bad fuser.
Put paper in the manual feed tray(tray 1)
Print something. As the paper gets 1/2 way into the printer, open the cover..
Look at the paper. If there is no ghosting, the fuser is bad. If there is ghosting, could be a cartridge drum.
Follow these steps print a Print quality troubleshooting page to identify which print cartridge is causing the issue.
  1. Open Toolbox .
  2. Click the Help folder, and then click the Troubleshooting page.
  3. Click Print , to print the page. The page prints five bands of color, which are divided into four overlapping sections. By examining each section, you can isolate the problem to a particular print cartridge. Figure 4: Print quality troubleshooting page bandsc01417618.gif 1 - Yellow 2 - Cyan 3 - Black 4 - Magenta

Plain black printing is fine but when using

This sounds like a software problem. Please check to see that you have all the right software drivers installed. If so, try reinstalling them from the installation disk as the code may have been corrupted. Also try turning the unit on and off again to reboot!

My 2600n is ghosting when printing black and labels are not printing correctly, the ink does not stick to the label, any ideas?

Sounds like a fuser problem.

Check the hp website, there was a firmware upgrade for fixing problems.

This may help, but you may also have a more involved problem...

Check print out on plain paper, and print the configuration page.

Ghosting when using HP CP2025N

Bad drum unit poor fusing or paper type try to print paper type cardstock as type, this increases fuser temp and slows printer for better quality.

Hp laserjet 2600 ghosting

You are most likely correct. this is called fuser offsetting, to check it out, stop the paper being printed MID CYCLE open the front door just when you think the paper is behind it..., pull the paper off the transfer belt. Is the ghost there? Probably not, and if it isnt, then it is your fuser. I can lead you to a reputable supplier. You can buy QUALITY rebuilt fusers with great warranties at prices well less than new OEM.

Printer is ghosting - I have changed power supply

Might be your transfer roller. I would try some laser cleaning paper and run that through a few times. If that doesn't work, I would purchase a fuser maintenance kit which will have the rollers as well as a new fuser.

HP 2600 ghosting

It is a massive pain but a solution that worked for me is to run a 'clean' after every card stock sheet. I know it's wicked awful but it actually worked and I had to run 100 times (one for each good color card stock)
First put plain paper in tray 2
Next
Hit left arrow until you get to 'system service' and press green check
Next
then go to 'clean' and press check
Now it should print a clean image without ghosting
