This is a string to test text mode problem

You need to go into your menu and go to close caption and turn off the text screen that some how got turn on, that big black box is call a text screen, and you are not the first person that this has happen too, Take care.

Try resetting your TV! or Unplug it and wait a couple of minutes then plug it back in.

You have your TV in the "Teletext" mode. Go into the TV menu and select the closed-captioning menu and turn off the text function. What you are seeing is the result of the TV's captioning circuit latching onto a false text pilot signal and then throwing up the black box on the screen.

It sounds like you have the TV's CLOSE CAPTION on; in the text mode, turn off and you and the TV will be fine.

YOUR TEXT BOX IS ON TURN IT OFF

Go to the closed caption menue and turn off "text"... That's a text box and in most areas there is no feed so the black box is all you'll get...

Go into your customer menu to closed caption and turn off the "text" mode... What you're seeing is a text box from closed caption but unless you have that additional service it will just me a black square...

Possibly the closed caption feature on this set has been turned on. There is a button on the remote control that says Caption. Press it until you turn the caption off. This will not be on a universal remote, only the original remote. You can also turn this off through the caption section on your on-screen menu.
