SOURCE: why do i have echo

This mixer has a multi-effects processor onboard, but the key is understanding the audio signal chain. There is a chance that you have your input audio going through an undesired effect, but without knowing your setup (input source, connections, mixer settings), it would be difficult to pinpoint the problem.

SOURCE: what is the ideal speaker specification to match

to get the best from this mixer output wise, you need to use 4ohm speakers rated at 150watts each. The 200 wat rating is at 4ohms. You can use 8 ohm speakers, but they recomend speakers at 70watts.

Gig wise, you could do a small location that will cater for about 40 people, but that would be pushing your system to the max.

Maximum possible set up? well there is a way to work most scenarios you are given, but it is not best practice.

Ideally, you know what instruments and vocals you want to go through the system, a rough idea of the size of venues you wil play and then ask questions on a system to suit.

SOURCE: powerpod 820 will not turn on. When connected to

There is a "Main L/R" button which most people have pressed to enable
the main speakers. Turn off the button. Then turn the unit on.

Then turn on the button again. Solved this issue for me.

Phonic Powerpod 820 - MIC inputs are not being fed to Main, only line input is getting through the L/R mixer and amp. Checked all the buttons and settings. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Ramesh - Just a quick thought (may be way off beam..) dynamic or condenser mic's ? If condenser - did you use the phantom power switch? (right next to the main 'on' switch around the back)

How to use an amp with the powerpod 820 mixer

you always keep your sound in line. what i mean by this is if your powerpod is a PA then you would want to run your instrument-pedals-amp-PA. Not saying this is the only way but it is the standard way to configure your components.

I tried hooking up a laptop to powerpod mixer it shows music is playing but nothing comes out of the speakers

Which inputs are you using? If you are using the 2T RTN, you will need to engage the 2T RTN button under CONTROL ROOM SOURCE and engage ASSIGN TO MAIN.

I dont know how to set up the sound board

What board are you having to use? What do you need to do? What equipment do you have with it? Amps/ F.O.H cabs, Monitors? Outboard? etc, etc. If you are unable to answer these questions you really should not go near it and get someone in.

Hi, i have the powerpod 820 and i turned it off abrubtly and now the audio wont go throught like on the right where the green lights are for the audio nothing is lighting up what could be the problem?

After seeing a LARGE number of the Phoniic things listed for sale as defective, I suspect the amp has a failure and requires repair in a shop unless you are adept at electronic repair. There probably is a design weakness in the unit to have the high failure rate.

I have speakers plugged into my phonic powerpod 820 right now but I want also to have the output of the mixer to go through an instrument amp, is this possible? If so, where do I connect the instrument amp...

Hi,
Yes it's possible. I'm assuming you'd like to use the keyboard amp as a "monitor". In which case, take a 1/4inch TS (instrument cable) jack out of "Aux Send" into the input of your keyboard amp. Make sure the keyboard amp is turned up to a good level and that the Master SEND is turned up on the Desk.
Now you can make your own "monitor mix" for on stage use without effecting the F.O.H mix by turning up the aux pot (knob) on each channel you use.

You can use the CTRL ROOM output also, but make sure it's not giving a "Powered Output" from the internal amplifier in the mixer as you will damage the keyboard amp.
