You could have an overheating problem, The CPU shuts down when it overheats and the laptop won't bootup until the CPU has cooled down.
The overheating problems are caused by a faulty fan or the heatsink/fan assembly is clogged with dust which prevents proper cooling.
Check the fan to see it it spins freely, if not (it has a bearing problem) then replace the fan. Also remove and vacuum the dust off the fan and heatsink.

Check AC power cord, use a different one, also plug into different outlet. If that doesn't work power switch is bad. Or something else is wrong.

Try another cord/charger with the EXACT same power specs. If you have a multimeter, verify DC voltage at the AC jack plug. If the AC jack, in the laptop, has been pulled, damaged, it's may have a loose connection. You didn' say if ANY LED's, battery charge, work? If the battery is charged and it doesn't start on battery only, then you have other issues. It may need a ride to a Qualified Computer Tech.

When I plug my headphones in they don't work
You can find two plug-in pins in the other end of your Headphone which is to connect the Laptop. You need to check whether it get connected properly in appropriate pin hole, if it doesn't work you need to unplug and try connecting in the alternate pin hole.

Recovery disk wont work because of preinst4.swm
you probably need a functioning Windows Operating system to copy the disk.
If you havent had it for too long, you could try sending it back to have the O/S and other original software reinstalled.

Sometimes Electrical devices conflict with wireless signals,i.e. Cordless phones,Mobile phones are the worst,also the area you have placed your router can affect the performance of the signal. Also try unplugging the router for 30 seconds then plug it back in. This reboots the router and sets up a new stronger signal.
