I bought CR123 re-chargeable batteries to replace a drained CR123A battery in my Viper mono-goggle, and its not turning on, not even the infrared light on the goggle isn't turning on, why is that? are the batteries not compatible with it, or is it just that the goggles are broken after leaving them in storage for a few years?

Check l that the HV is present at tube. If it is, suspect tube. If not, check the HV circuit - these vary, but most competent electronics trained technicans should be able to fault find on these.
SOURCE: Bushnell 26-3150 NV
Well, there's no telling because Bushnell is not telling. It could be due to it being 'dated' technology and as it is a 1stGen NV they have newer tech. available with other styles. It never got rave revues in the first place. If you can afford it, look at at least 3rdGen NV, even 2ndGen. is good for civilian use. Stay away from the russian junk, almost all of which is 1stGen. But USA if possible and at least you are buying quality which if it needs service, you can get it.
Good luck. :)
