If the toner in the machine is NOT MIRC it will not work in a MIRC printer. Get the correct toner cartridge or get a NON MICR printer to put your toner in. MICR uses a special toner (magnetic) for printing checks and the printer is usually modified at the factory (troy or others) to make it print using MICR toner. No way around it.

Printer that priints dirty work

This is caused by a dirty photo drum that has a worn cleaning blade that removes the excess toner from the photo drum.
Remove the printer toner cartridge and use a soft cloth to wipe the photo drum clean of toner particles. Then insert the toner cartridge back into the printer.

My IBM Infoprint 1552 is leaving gray spikes at

Check your toner cartridge (most print quality problems are toner cartridge problems) if that is not the problem (and it probably is) then check the fuser for toner buildup matching the defect you have. There is also a small possibility of the laser being deflected and causing this (unlikely) but clean the small mirror above the toner cartridge (it is small in height and as long as the machine is wide and up in a cavity)

I think I damaged the drum, is this a recoverable error?

try printing 10 test pages and see if it gets at all better by the tenth one, you may need a new printer cartridge though, if you are buying refurbished toner cartridges you get a bad one every once in a while but you can usually return it

Error Light

The error is "toner cartridge error" you could try cleaning the contacts inside the printer (with the power off, of course). If that doesn't work you will need to try another cartridge.

Infoprint 1120 929 service toner sensor error code

The problem is caused by one of the following (normally it's the cartridge that's faulty, very common on Lexmark's and IBM Infoprints)

The toner sensor is not operating properly, the developer
drive assembly is not operating properly or the print
cartridge is defective

IBM infoprint 1312 toner and error light.

If both Lights are solid, it means that the top cover is still open and the toner is low. Please make sure the top cover is closed all the way. If the toner light is blinking and the errror light is solid, it means there is a toner cartridge error. Please try a new cartridge. If that solves the issue, then you should return the damaged one.

IBM INFOPRINT 1120

Julie1665, Here are some things that could be causing your problem: -Could be the paper you are printing does not meet the printer specifications. -Could be toner leaking out of the cartridge. -Could be environmental issues, too hot or cold or humid. -The toner density could be set too high. -The electrical contacts that connect the toner cartridge to the printer could be dirty or just not making good contact. -the printer power supply could be defective. -With regards to your toner cartridge are you using new IBM cartridges or refilled/remanufactured? I?ve had many customers call me to fix a printer problem that turned out to be a bad cartridge. All of these are within the capabilities of the typical user except changing the power supply.
