Could be the drive belt from the motor to the machine is too loose, get a new one. Will the machine turn by hand, if not, then there may be something inside jamming it

SOURCE: Sewing Machine Motors Runs But Needle Does Not Move

Probably the belt tension needs adjusting, it is slipping like a car fanbelt and needs the same relative "give" when correctly tightened.
Remove the side cover where the handwheel is and loosen the motor fixing to adjust and increase the tension on the belt ....needs some slack, if you can move the belt 10mm with light pressure then it will be fine NOT TOO TIGHT or you will overload the motor. NOTE: If the side panel is not easily removed, ie 2 piece casing split in the middle, take it to a service centre or risk breaking the casing trying to get in....if it is more than a few years since last service, let someone do it all and get a sweet machine back, with no risk for not a whole lot of time or money

Euro-Pro sewing machine model9130H needle moves sideways and thread clogs up when starting to sew

Be sure to install a brand new needle.

If the needle bar is moving to the side when set on a straight-stitch, there is probably something loose or bent in the machine. Would recommend having it checked by a technician. Could also be the cause of the thread clumping or could be something else going on.

Machine does not appear to have a button to sew in reverse

try these suggestions
Reduce the stitch length to zero. The machine will stitch in place and form a locked stitch
1) rotate the material and sew over the same stitching. Leave the needle down in the work and raise the presser foot, then turn the fabric around.
2) decrease the stitch length to very small for a few stitches

OR
3) hold the fabric and prevent it from feeding at the beginning and end of a seam, which makes very short stitches

4) stitch about 1/2", raise the needle and presser foot, return the fabric to the beginning position and stitch over the first half inch of seam again. Do the same at the end

I have a euro-pro sewing machine that i got second hand, came with no manual so i dont know whot to set it to basic stich it has all these knobs and i have no idea how to run it normally

Hello

The stitch dial for the length is located all the way on the right side of the machine and is factory set at the setting "3," which is a 3mm or 1/8 inch length. Turn the dial up or down to adjust the length. For example, the setting "4" is 4mm (5/32 inch) and "2" is 2mm (5/64 inch).

The width of the serged seam is dependent on the needle or by adjusting the knob for the width. With the left needle only sewing, the width is set to 7/32 inch, and with the right needle only sewing, it is set to 9/64 inches. Additionally, by pushing in the width adjustment knob behind the front cover, the stitching can be adjusted manually from 1/8 inch to 17/64 inch wide.

I do not have a problem with the machine. I am curious about the plate numbers. On an american sewing machine, the plate the fabric feeds through, normal have 1/4, 5/8, etc. On the Euro Pro Denim Model ...

So an American machine has imperial seam guides on the needle plate.

But the Euro Pro would be European and in metric so it has seam guides in metric widths, i.e. millimetres. 10 will be 10 millimetres, or 1 centimetre, 16 mm, 22mm.

A normal seam in metric is 15mm - in your land 5/8", the two are not quite the same but pretty close. This link http://convert.french-property.co.uk/ gives you a converter between the two systems.

A 1/4" is your standard piecing seam for the quilters and this is why many Australian quilters will buy a 1/4" foot so they can guide the fabric along the foot edge to get nice standard seams.

So you could break out some masking tape and a metric/imperial ruler and measure from the needle to the right and put a strip of tape onto your needle plate to mark your 5/8" dimension you are used to. Or use the 16mm seam marking which is very close anyway.

Hope this helps.

Needle will not pick up bobbin threat

Try flipping the bobbin spool so the thread comes off in the other direction.
Forcing means that the needle has been jammed against the sewing plate ant the needle is now out of timing with the bobbin pickup.

I have a baby lock ea-605 serger

Assuming that (a) you have tried installing new needles, (b) the new needles are the correct system for the serger and the right size (typically size 14 for medium-weight fabrics, size 11 for lighter-weight fabrics), (c) the needles are installed correctly (inserted all the way up into the needle bar and facing the proper direction), then your machine is likely out of time and / or has a defective part such as an upper / lower looper. That will require professional attention to correct.
