I can quite easily record my voice on my Sansa C240 1 GB with no trouble, but how do I transfer my voice recordings to my computer?

Have you tried to go to your computer ( the folder ) then click on your device, click on the folder that would hold your recordings, then copy & paste them where ever you need them? lol im sorry if that doesn't work, im really just kinda guessing!

Why my sansa c250 does not record the voice in mp3, only in wma?

Unfortunately, Sandisk didn't include any options in their firmware to record in any other format.

If you happen to have a version 1 c250 then you can install Rockbox on it and have 4 recording format options, as well as being able to choose what bitrate to record in for the mp3 format.

To find out if your player is a v1 go to Settings -> System Info
If the version starts with 01 then it's a v1 player and you can install Rockbox on it. If it starts with 03 then it's a v2 player and you're stuck with the wav format, as Rockbox is not yet available for v2 c250 players.

How do you delete voice recordings?

Connect your sansa to the computer via usb. (assuming you have windows) Now go to "My Computer". If your sansa is in automatic mode, it should show up as "sansa c205". Double Click on that. Now double click on "internal memory". (If you don't have that, just skip it) Now double click on "recordings". Double click "Voice". Now a list of your recordings show up. Simply delete the ones you don't want, such as "001" and "002".

Hope this helps!

I have a sansa c250 mp3 player, and I use the voice recorder to record fiddle tunes because I'm taking fiddle lessons. I'm tryying to take the recordings off the mp3 player and put it in my windows media...

Instead of using Windows Media Player, connect the Sansa to the computer, double-click My Computer, double-click the Sansa drive, and go to the Voice folder - drag the recordings to the Desktop or some other location on your computer. This will backup those songs for you in case something goes wrong.

Voice Recording

You will have to double-click my computer, double click icon of mp3 player, and remove it from the "Voice" folder, b/c the manual certainly doesn't tell you, and the menu tree doesn't seem to have the option

Music transferred from internet to my sansa not good

Am not sure which of the 2 actions we did solved the problem...but we installed the CD that came with it (my daughter has a Sansa C260 and her CD was already installed in the computer and we thought I didn't have to install mine). But we resorted on installing mine too in case it would help with the problem, and then we re-loaded all the songs into my Sansa C250 at a slower pace, although I really don't know if the quicker pace did cause the problem. But now my Sansa C250 is now able to record any song correctly.

Transferring a voice recording

Nevermind I found the solution myself! I switched the USB mode setting to MTP. It's been copied and moved over now.
