No exact PC stated, but Box 3 and u2412.
just looking tells you your choices. and what is best for you of all choices.
but the box3 has only one jack , called HDMI and you use an HDMI cable to the monitor but wait.
let me guess it has no HDMI port that it>?
im googling 2 times reading both spec pages, easy no?
and shows
DVI-D, DisplayPort, USB 2.0 downstream, USB 2.0 upstream, VGA, audio line-out
so you have 3 choices, there, DVI/ DP and VGA (relic)
so you buy a HDMI to DP converter and it works.
any store selling TVs has this. every one ive ever seen.
and adaptor or the adaptor cable hdmi to DP
there are other adaptor's you many not like
hdmi to DVI-D.
SOURCE: When I connect my ASUS monitor to my Dell laptop
Hi
You do not say if your laptop screen is working or not or why you want to use an external monitor.
Assuming the laptop has no fault and boots properly, to send the laptop image to an external monitor, once you have booted into Windows, press and hold the Fn (function) key bottom left of your keyboard, near the Windows Logo key, then simultaneouly press the Function key (above the numbers) with the image of 2 monitors, 1 dark, 1 bright (often the F4, F5 or F6 key).
If the laptop's screen is faulty and the above procedure does not work, there may be damage to the graphics card which will probably require specialist repair.
I hope this helps.
