just go to the device manager and refresh the USB root hubs as the webcam in hp computers is connected with the usb ports. if it works fine then gud or else it can be a h/w fault.

1. First, since this LCD your using is a TV ready you need to check if it's in the PIP mode (picture in picture). Because if its in this mode the TV screen will be divided into parts.
2. Secondly, checked the remote then try to press the PIP mode so that your screen will back to a normal mode.
3. If pressing the PIP button will not bring it m\back to a normal mode try to remove the connection of the TV to your LCD TV and then make sure that the LCD and the laptop is off then try to connect it again then power on both LCD tv and the laptop.

i would guess that the motherboard has been damaged, perhaps with excessive current or AC power out ? perhaps the CPU heatsink fan failed and damaged the CPU ?

what was the circumstance while the computer worked well , the last time you used it ?

did you leave it on while plugged into the wall AC power outlet -- perhaps overnight or for a lengthy time period , leaving the laptop unattended ?

do you know if the battery was working well , last time you used the computer ? was the AC ADAPTER WORKING WELL ENOUGH TO FULLY CHARGE THE BATTERY ? PERHAPS THE BATTERY WAS NOT CHARGED up siufficiently to allow power to turn ON THE LAPTOP, THUS W/O POWER FROM THE BATTERY AS A RESULT OF A BAD AC adapter, now the computer has no source .
