Registering my ice maker - Refrigerators

I searched the internet, and did not find a manual online.

I saw this Amazon listing with many reviews, and you might try registering for Amazon and asking a question of the seller to see if a manual is available.

it is patented and the sign will be a registered logo
contact the patent officer and check through the register for the logo

Its not working.Two possibilities,either faulty compressor or issue with defrost assembly.Defrost cycle not working.

Yes you can adjust the water volume.
Go to http://appliancecafe.com and click on the repair forum link on the top of the page. Register for the forum ten you will have access to the service manual section of the forum. Go to the ice maker category, Whirlpool ice maker service manual and download it. On page 9 of that manual is the instructions on adjusting the volume. Let me know if you have any problems getting the manual.

Replace the icemaker . The laser receiver (on right side ) is supposed to blink twice then pause then twice repeatedly .Normal. Also clean the coils under fridge .

un familiar with model, so am basing this on all the commercial ice makers I repair. Check the temperature probe that goes from the cct board to the ice bin if it has one ( very likely) if corroded where wire enters the stainless cap then is most likely faulty. if it is not registering correctly it can cause the unit to stop producing ice altogether or can also overproduce. It may just be a thermostat instead of a probe and again these are common items to fail. As for no water going into the unit, the solenoid valves that are used are also prone to failure of the coils and so wont open although probes / stats are always the most common fault,

If the plate is frozen solid and has oversized cubes formed, make sure the probe/stat is still attached to the evaporator plate, if it is then it will need replacing as it cant see the ice is formed, so just keeps freezing, never going to defrost to release the ice or trigger the water to come in, again very very common in commercial ice makers.

Clogged filter?
On most ice makers, if the water pressure drops too low, the valve will not open to fill the ice maker.


Frozen water line?
On some units, the water line supplying the ice make can freeze up preventing water from getting to the ice maker.

Freezer cold enough?
Are you sure of the temp inside your freezer?
Place a small thermometer that can register temps around the freezing range. (example of a thermometers not to use are: a candy thermometer or a thermometer used to take a person's temp.) If you do not have one or do not want to purchase one, put a bowl of water in your freezer. If the water does not turn to ice in say 6 to 8 hours, your freezer is not cold enough.

Sailor, Samsung put out a service flash on your model regarding the ice maker fill tube. What is happening is that ice is forming on both ends of the fill tube. When the ice tray twists in the harvest it is hitting on the fill tube and pulling it from it's mount. Could this be why the drive motor seems to weak. The flash number is ASC20060525001. They redesigned the fill tube, part number DA63-02928A. Just trying to help you find an answer...Catriver..post back.
