Depending on the procedure you may be pressing the record button instead of the D.Dubbing or Dubbing button. When recording from VHS to DVD you must first, load the blank DVD and VHS home movies, then play the VHS movies, then PAUSE the VHS movie when you want to START recording... then the only the you have to do is pressing the D.Dubbing button or the Dubbing button. If your VHS tapes starts to play after the Dubbing button is pressed you have been successful in Dubbing.

My TWC connection is a female onto a male. The Magnavox Model
ZV427MG9 A does not allow the cable connection to screw on to it's terminal. Is there an adaptor with a female connector on one end and a male adaptor on the opposite end.

I have a magnavox dvd recorder/vcr combo (ZV427MG9A) connected to my Sharp hdtv via hdmi cord, Can anyone tell me simple setup steps to make it record and play on either sides. I have read instruction book over and over and it is still not recording to disc or tapes. I also have Charter Cable connected. Can you tell me what do i need to do to make it work. H-E-L-P!!!!
