Philips Magnavox DVD+R/+RW Recorder/VCR Questions & Answers
I have a Magnavox ZV427MG9 DVD recorder. I follow
what you do after you label the recording you play the dvd selecting the image and then play then stop it then select setup.
The instruction book doesn't follow through properly and I lost a dvd that way before I realized what it was after trying on a test DVD different things to get back to the setup screen that was supposed to have the finalize on it.
It's also a 1/4 inch to wide to fit on my shelf so it sits on top and blocks the remote sensor on the tv and makes tv control a bit difficult. The copies if you get them right at the fastest speed are very good though.
Many VCR's are protected from copy. Some start with that right away disabling the copy process others wait till thee film is half recorded. I understand some makes don't respect the copy proofing on tapes. I am not so experienced to say for sure that is so.
I just bought the zv427mg9
the magnavox ZV427MG9 vhs to disc dub recording can not

in the manual which disspointing....
For this type of recorder it should be able
to do just that, pause while dub recording whs to disc, but it

The recording set-up must have been program to record only in 5 minutes. You could play around with the remote and try to enter the record set-up. The problem with the VCR must be a worn-out belt or a dirty loading mechanism. You could try to replace the belt or clean the surface area where all the mechanism slide together or make contacts and put an small amount of recommended grease or petroleum jelly.
