Without knowing more about your 'unit', which I presume, since this is the Cameras Forum, is a camera, no specific advice can be offered. Have you tried cleaning the contacts or formatting the card ? (Once you have transferred the current images, obviously). Another alternative is to purchase a new card of the correct specifications for your equipment.

I can help you fix the BUSY Error or Error 99 of your Canon EOS Rebel XS / Canon EOS 1000D.

Installation of this Canon EOS Rebel XS / Canon EOS 1000D firmware version 1.06 update will solve these problems:

  1. Some cameras may exhibit a phenomenon in which the LCD monitor does not display, the shutter does not release, and the BUSY indication remains lit in the viewfinder.
  2. The message, "Err 99 Shooting is not possible. Turn the power switch to<OFF> and <ON> again or re-install the battery", appears on the camera's LCD monitor, and after the above operation is carried out,the LCD monitor displays in a language that is different from the actual language setting.
See the firmware instructions and download the firmware upgrade by following these Fixya Tips :

  1. Follow this link to download a pdf version of the firmware installation instruction guide.
  2. Follow this link to download the Windows Version of the Canon EOS Rebel XS / Canon EOS 1000D firmware version 1.06 update.
  3. Follow this link to download the MAC version of the Canon EOS Rebel XS / Canon EOS 1000D firmware version 1.06 update.
  4. Follow this link to download the Canon EOS Rebel XS / Canon EOS 1000D Instruction Manual.

I hope that helps.

Who can repair a Gateway DC-T50

Refer to the manual page below - note the last 2 items
If you take the camera and the card to a sales outlet the assistants are usually helpful

Inserting an SD Memory Card(Optional)
All images and video clips taken by the camera can be stored in an SD (Secure
Digital) Memory Card. Even if the camera's power is OFF, the images saved in the
SD Memory Card are not erased. An SD Memory Card can be repeatedly read and
written. You may also expand the memory capacity up to 512MB so that you can
store additional images and video clips.
1. Make sure the camera is off.
2. Slide the battery/SD Memory Card cover in the direction of the [OPEN] arrow.
3. Insert an SD Memory Card :
The front side of the memory card (printed
arrow) should face towards the front side
of the camera.
If the card cannot be inserted, check the
orientation.
4. Close the battery/SD Memory Card cover.
To remove the SD Memory Card, make sure
the camera is off. Open the battery/SD Memory Card card cover. Press
lightly on the edge of the memory card and it will eject.
Note:
If the camera is powered-on without the card, the "NO CARD" message appears on
the LCD monitor.
To prevent valuable data from being accidentally
erased from an SD Memory Card you can slide the
write-protected tab (on the side of the SD Memory
Card) to "LOCK".
To save, edit or erase data on an SD Memory Card,
you must unlock the card.
MultiMedia Card (MMC) can not be used.
You need to format an SD Memory Card before using it in this camera

SD CARD DOES NOT SHOW PICTURES ALREADY ON IT IN FUJI Z35

Your previous camera wasn't another Z35, was it? Most cameras will not display pictures that were taken with another camera. The old pictures are most likely still on the card. You can plug the card into a card reader and transfer them to a computer.

I have a Nikon D50 DSLR camera. I am on vacation

R12 is not an error message, it is a normal message, in fact telling you that the camera has a 12 photo bufffer that stores the pictures as they are written to the memory card. What is most likely happening is that the camera is not able to write to the SD card. Are you using a genuine, non counterfeit memory card? There are a lot of them about,- especially from vendors on the internet selling them for 'too good to be true' prices.
