I need an installation and operating instruction manual for a Arlec wireless door chime DC691 and DC692

It seems that there is a button on the receiver/speaker. Try press once and see if the sound changes.

Timer is not identified. Read through possibles options below:

Add a comment with simple description of the timer for possible identification of product and possible instruction.

Following link shows a variety of arlec timers: each timer has instruction manual that expert can access. Add a comment and say which of these timers is same-similar to your timer, and then say what part of manual is confusing.

If you already have instruction sheet for timer, then add a comment and describe timer, and include what part of manual is confusing.

If you want expert to speak with you about programming the timer, then request fixya phone assistance. Expert can ask which timer you have, and answer specific questions while you program timer.

Each push button should have jumpers in the back of them. By the description you say its the wireless but your text describes wires. If it is the wireless there should be jumpers, little black blocks that make an electrical connection, inside the push buttons and the receiver. Be sure you read the manual about which ones go where for your dual operation.

The 515N number is a transformer part number, do you have a photo of the chime you have? Is it wired or wireless? Is it a newer chime or and older model? Check Nutone's website to see what model you have, then search their site for the model you have. The model page will have an instruction sheet PDF file download of the instructions.

From User Guide: Interference from a similar unit operating nearby: a) simply remove the batteries from the push button and door chime units and rest for 10 seconds, this will erase memory b) Insert the batteries into the push button and door chime units, the door chime unit will give 2-beeps to indicate that it is ready for the new registration code. Press the Push Button once, it will generate a new operation code randomly and send a wireless ignal to the door chime unit and it will sound to indicate that new operation code is registered and memorised.
(Note with this unit SX85R the door chime is mains powered, not battery powered, but above instructions are the same)
