Electric companies are pretty good about getting this stuff straightened out. Call them and let them know your problem. You may owe money which the executor your Mother's estate should handle.
My state has the Public Service Commission watching over what the public utility companies are doing. If your state does, the PSC becomes your advocate to make things right if the electric company is acting badly.

I would look for cold solder connections, mostly around the PowerAmp chip.

Do you mean the round outlet/socket?
First, you may to check if the headset (or speaker) is good, especially there are no worn out wires and the jack is good.
Next, the speaker is in the ON position or not MUTED.
The speaker socket can still become rusty, you can spray some contact cleaner to loosen the rust.

The speakers cone usually made from polyethelene or fiber can be your problem the only way to fix it is to replace it with a new speaker. Over time cones become brittle and dry out or for a better word rot or decay. This causes crackeling in your speakers sound quality. Hope this helps you out.

Try connecting them to another amplifier...you can use the speaker output of a guitar amp as a quick test. If the amp (and mixer) check OK, it sounds like you are about to become good friends with your local speaker reconing shop.

Remember...Distorted Audio Can Kill Speakers even at low volumes. It happens because sine waves become square waves. Google it for additional information.

You have lost system programming. Unless you are well versed in getting into your system with the installer password, you need to call a Nortel service tech. The older systems have a battery backing up the memory and when it dies, your system crashes. It's really obvious, because it goes back to the default of only 2 lines working and all the buttons become defaulted.

It would be unlikely that your system is a CICS, but this is an idea of where the programs are and what level you need to access them.

take a nine volt battery and touch it to the speaker wire ends where it gos into the amp,if thers a good connection the speaker will crackle,if not your speaker is probly blown

A decent auto repair manual for your 2003 Chevy TrailBlazer (such as Chilton's, Clymers, Haynes, etc...) with a complete wiring diagram should give you the color codes for the factory speaker wiring. You can probably find and copy the pages you need at your local Public Library too.
