Because your reader doesn't support SDHC (4Gb or more)
If you buy a USB SDHC compatible reader, it will be fine.
SOURCE: How to get Panasonic KX-P2123 printer to work with USB port
Cables are available from a number of sources which will convert from a USB plug for your computer to a serial or parallel connector for your printer. (I don't remember for sure whether that Panasonic is serial or parallel. I think it's a parallel printer and uses a Centronics connector.) Do a search for "centronics to USB" or "serial to USB" and you will find links to a number of sources.
SOURCE: Customiser 2000 will not connect to a laptop as it
All I had to do when I got my customizer was purchase a Serial to USB adapter cable. (Radio Shack carries them but you have to either order them online or go to one of the bigger stores) I installed the cable, then connected the customizer to it. Make sure you download the upgrade for customizer so it will work with XP if that's what you are running. Then you go into your settings or communications menu and pick the one that works. Sometimes you have to do it a couple times til you find the right one. My worked this was for many, many years until the whole thing bit the dust last August. I don't know if it's a hardware, software, or ownerware issue and neither does Janome or anyone else. I ended up having to by a new machine for embroidery. Good luck, I hope I helped some.

you have to set the screen resolution correctly.
go to control panel > display settings,
there you can activate the second screen, that is, your tv screen.
Goto Control Panel, then Display, then goto the Settings tab, then click the Advanced button near the bottom (above the apply button) then goto the Overlay Tab, then click the Theater Mode Options button. Then change the Overlay Display Mode from Standard to Theater Mode & click apply. Also you can choose to change the theater mode setting as well. Change from 4:3 Standard TV mode to 16:9 Widescreen if your TV is a Widescreen and you can also select Full Screen Video if you wish to use Full Screen Mode when playing video files.
Go to display settings, click advanced.
Go to troubleshoot.
Under Hardware Acceleration turn it to the second lowest option.
