This flashing light on the tv is actually a fault code. The 2 most common faults are blown capacitors on the p.c. board which would be visible with the rear cover off, (capacitors generally cost under $1 each) and a blown led which could be replaced but would require the know how. There are youtube videos on this repair but do not recommend this unless you have some electrical background and knowledge. Hope this helps.

Have you checked to make sure you don't have a crack on the screen. Static electricity can also cause this. On many large screen TV's this is normal

According to the specs sheet, you don't have one.

Press "Menu" on the TV's remote control and use the arrow keys to scroll to "Setup."

Select "Yes" using the arrow and "Enter" buttons at the "Return To The Factory Preset Values" message.

Select "Yes" using the arrow and "Enter" buttons at the "Now, TV Will Restart Automatically. OK?" message.

Wait while "Now Initializing..." appears on the screen. The TV will power down and turn back on when the reset is complete.
