SOURCE: can i cover my outside house vents in the winter?

you should never cover any vents, they are there for a reason, to keep you safe from fumes, damp, etc.. (If talking about vents that are outside you home). If you are talking about appliance vents then you run the risk of them breaking if you cover the vents, due to overheating

Vents that are outside the home including boiler vents etc... exhume all of the carbon dioxide that is bad for you. Vents that are there to stop damp, if blocked may cause you to have a problem with damp in the future.

Puma trailer, Why is Fridge not covered under warranty if only 2 yrs old?

Many times they have a clause built into the contract which the original purchaser signed and it only covers items for X number of years and only to the original purchaser. They know people trade out and upgrade RVs all the time. It is a poor way to do business in my opinion. The other option might be to find the serial number and contact the manufacturer of the fridge. Most give you a 3 year warranty on stuff like that.

Good luck.

Ac unit keeps freezing up

what a heat pump is designed to do is reverse the evaporator inside coil and condensor outside coil. it trys to pick up heat from outside and transfer it inside. they work fairly well down to about 40 degrees ambient then not so good. that is why you have auxillary heat i.e. 15 kw. when it was shaking as you saw the compressor is trying to pump liquid instad of vapor as it's designed to. you either have a control issue or it's overcharged.

I have a 4 year old intertherm AC /Heat pump...all works ok - but sometimes in summer or winter - when the inside unit cuts off - the unit outside still runs and whines and sorta sounds like a grinding in...

Has it always made that noise? If so then I would think that after 4 years and no problems that it is nothing to worry about. If it is something new then turn it off and call a service tech to look at it. I am leaning toward the service tech.

Loud sound coming from back of fridge. Pulled out from wall. sound like it's coming from the lower left corner when looking at it from the back. Looks like i'd need to take the lower panel off to inspect...

Hi Rick,
Sounds like the now infamous 'fan icing up' caused by a design fault of the fridge evaporator cover assembly & evaporator heater.Contact Samsung. You may find that these components are covered by by an extended 5yr. guarantee. Good luck.I was 30 days outside.

1996 VW Golf -

Sounds like you have a electrical problem. Alot of VW's have electrical problems that VW won't recall. Check for burnt wires under drivers side dash but you have to remove the black cover. Fuse box located to the left striaght up. And if the elecrtical is messed up it will be expensive to fix.

Triton t80i water only warm in winter

That sounds like a water heater problem, wheres the heater at in your home. If it is effected by the outside weather i.e. the heater is in a cold environment then it would effect the hot water output. try turning up the thermostat on the heater if it is gas then it should be knob on the outside if it is electric you will need to remove the top or the bottom cover and adjust it with a screw driver. If this does not work the let me know and we try some other things. With the weather/temp outside effecting the water temp in the shower then I have a hard time believing it is the shower its self.

Leaking

Is there a condensate trap in the line before the discharge?
Also is the orifice or near it cracked?
With all the movement and expansion and contraction due to the temperature changes in the seasons and conditions, there might be a crack somewhere else.
Be ready with a Wax Ring for a toilet ( a new one ).
They usually seal it up fairly well.
Works for me until I can get a new pan.
God Bless.

Ignite prob

You've got two different things going on.  First - the type of igniter used on your model does wear.  I have had mine for over 10 years and have gone through 3 such igniters - and I grill nearly 3 times per week over the 25 week "grilling" season where I live. Spring for the $12 part and just replace it. The other issue sounds like a clogged cross-over system.  I would remove the burners, including the cross-over bar on the far left side that connects them.  Clean the exterior with a stiff steel/brass brush and the inside with a bottle brush.  Make sure all the holes are clear to allow gas to flow easily - use a wooden tooth-pick to do this to make sure you don't change the size of the holes! Put that baby back together and I think you'll find you'll be good as new!
These grills are great.  Now, if Weber could only fix the uneven heat problem between the left and right side I'd REALLY be happy!  (I wish they would even just admit there IS a problem!)
Good luck and happy grilling.
