New microwave Sharp r860slm shows error E02 on display, anyone knows what does it mean?

When we use the Microwave + Hot Air(oven) function, after around 4-5 minutes it will throw the massage E02 on the screen, stop working and start to make "pip" sounds. The microwave is completely new.

SOURCE: oven and microwave combo

Your microwave is plugged into an outlet built into the top of the oven. This outlet has a "circuit breaker" that trips when using the self cleaning feature. This is a design flaw that Jenn-Air/Whirlpool refuses to acknowledge. You just need to reset the breaker button that the microwave is plugged into. It's right next to the outlet.

Of course, getting to the reset button is your only challenge. You need to pull the microwave and oven out of the wall/cabinetry in order to get to it. The unit is heavy so you will need help. Or, call a certified repairman and they should be able to do this for you in 30 minutes or less so the service call should not run you more than @$85 if it is no longer under warranty.

I would also suggest you contact Jenn-Air to complain about this issue and seek reimbursement from them if necessary.

SOURCE: Microwave error code

EE4 means the line voltage is too high. Usually this is fixed by resetting the voltage selector on the back.

The voltage selector may not look like a switch, looking rather like a metal panel that has to be taken off and reoriented. There will be a label next to it indicating a voltage number.

EE2 actually means that the control circuit senses that magnetron number 2 is not running.

It doesn't necessarily mean a bad magnetron.

This can be due to a bad or misaligned door switch (common), a failed relay (#3) on the control panel, or a failed high voltage component such as transformer #2, capacitor #2, rectifier #2 or magnetron #2 or loose connections anywhere along the chain.

We have a similar model's service manual on our site. Please not that yours may be different! Part numbers will probably not match. But it will help with safety, disassembly, discharge and diagnosis.

It's here: http://www.microwavedisplay.com/r23gtf_sm.pdf

SOURCE: Sharp Covection Oven/Microwave stops after 1min on any setting

This 59-second stop failure is due to a problem in one of the damper-related components, most likely the switch, but it may also be the motor or the damper door.

The damper is a door inside that opens or closes depending on cooking mode. If the controller thinks that the door is not in the right position, it will shut down the cook cycle.

See the attached sample photo.

If you or someone you know wants to look into this, we have *critical* safety, disassembly, and troubleshooting info at our site, and our link is at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk

We even have a video on our site that shows you how to safely & easily remove the control panel assembly to send it for service.

Exterior of oven , top and both sides gets very hot to touch, when cooking +- 10 minutes or more the last couple of days; no Error ( E41/42/45 or 47 are being displayed. Fan is normal, functions: OK

There could be food or oil buildup around the door frame which will absorb some of the radiant and microwave energy whilst cooking. Give it all a good clean and see if that helps. If everything else is working properly, it may be a problem with the cooling fan. Microwave ovens have a "stirrer fan" inside the roof or rear of the cooking area to disperse the microwaves and some convection / microwave ovens also have a cooling fan which assists in dissipating heat within the cabinet.

I have a Maytag Microwave/Hood MMV4203DS00. Twenty minutes after its last use as a microwave oven, the Vent Fan spontaneously went on and the Display Shows: VENT...FAN..--5E-- (or SE?). The microwave...

"SE" error means you have a shorted membrane keypad.
On this model, the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part, so the control panel frame assembly (which comes with a new keypad) would have to be ordered and replaced.

It's actually a pretty simple DIY repair.

The frame assembly is part number W10258190 and you can get it for $67.98 (subject to change) from the Pros here. You can also order the thermostat (part number WB27X10567 ) from them.

Their is a video here showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Then you unplug the keypad as per the photo below.

Some connectors on the relays have a lock:

positivelock.jpg Then move your circuit board into the new frame. Be careful, the display is made of glass.

My microwave is showing EE on the control panel and then stopping what could cause this

Hi.

If the microwave was built by LG, then error EE means "EEprom Failure".

The eeprom is a memory chip built into the oven electronic control board. The error usually means that the electronic board must be replaced. In some case the alluminium insulation foil that protects the board must also be replaced. A radiation leakage test must be done after carrying the repair. The repair must be performed by a technician.

Regards.

Kenmore Gas Range model # 362.75491990 F3 error Oven will not hold temp - error message displays and beeps I Replaced the oven temp sensor same issue Is the control panel bad?

Hi,

Many models of the GE microwave have sensors that can detect humidity from the foods you are cooking. This allows the microwave to make adjustments to the power levels used to cook your food. If "Sensor Error" appears, you should either press "Clear" to cancel the mode or leave the food in the appliance longer to give the microwave more time to detect the food.

Press "Time Cook" to manually enter the time if you receive an error message when trying to use the "Sensor Reheat" mode of your GE microwave. The error message may be caused by the food item being too large or too small to detect.

these are some other code error that will help you in case of next time.

  1. Step 1 Press "Off/Cancel" (or "Cancel/Off" depending on your model) to clear the error code. Note the code if it reappears.
  2. Step 2 Replace the touchpad if the code displayed is "F0," "F7" or "F10." A function key is stuck or shorted.
  3. Step 3 Replace the touchpad or the clock (ERC) if the code "F1" is displayed. Disconnect the ribbon connector to the touchpad. If no code is displayed after an hour, replace the touchpad. If the code displays again, replace the clock.
  4. Step 4 Replace the oven temperature sensor if "F2," "F3" or "F4" is displayed. "F2" indicates the oven temperature is too hot and the oven temperature sensor is suspect. "F3" or "F4" indicates the oven temperature sensor or shorted or open.
  5. Step 5 Replace the ERC if "F5," F6" or "F8" is displayed. The ERC is the main control unit. "F5," F6" and "F8 are codes that indicate problems in the ERC functions.
  6. Step 6 Inspect the door-lock assembly and circuit if "F9" is displayed. The door must lock when the oven is in use. If the lock mechanism is not functioning or if the detection circuit is malfunctioning, the stove will display "F9."

jQuery('.article ol .image').each(function(i,e){ var $this = jQuery(this); $this.find('img').error(function(){ jQuery(this).remove(); $this.remove(); }); }); NOTE:

"F3" codes mean your oven temperature sensor has failed or shorted out. The only thing you can do is to replace the sensor.

Take care.

The Display is Dim. Hard to read the numbers.

I have the same model and problem. The time display is totally unreadable. Looking for a solution as well. I suspect given the cost (I believe around $60), it's time for a new one. Anyone have any suggestions or easy repair ideas?

Sharp R-953M combination oven. Display not working.

We repair those for $39.95 mostly for US and Canadian customers, but in the UK you can contact Quality Electronic Repairs. I think they repair these.

Otherwise, you would have to replace the control unit, which consists of both circuit boards and the display.

Jenn Air Microwave Error Code

Hello Hec1152,
I have found the manufacturer contact information for you, but could not find information about the error code. If everything works fine, but the microwave is not heating your food, then the problem is most likely the magnatron or one of it's components, which sadly to say is the most expensive part to replace. Please feel free to contact the manufacturer via phone or live chat to get more details as to what the error code means.

If you would not mind, could you please rate my help. I would greatly appreciate it.

Sharp microwave quit working

Obviously there was a serious short circuit in this unit which is not normally serviceable by anyone but a factory technician. Since this would not be cost effective, I suggest you replace the oven. New ovens are quite reasonable and have many great features.
