Frozen Camera and white screen/distorted image

if your whole screen shows an image and the cracks are in front of it then its just a cracked digitiser
if you dont see the whole image and tyou see horizontal and vertical line or an image like spilled liquid then your Lcd is also cracked too


this is a broken Lcd (the screen is distorted by the lines or no picture at all)

Friend, rear display screen is replaceable part by camera technician at a fraction of the cost of camera.

U have to solder or if that one is broken u wil have to get another and do the correct thing.

The problem with your phone is just flex problem, the flex on the screen of your phone is weak or worn out, this is a common problem among slide or flip phone.

What you need to do is to replace the flex on the screen of your phone, you can get this done by going to any local phone repairer within your vicinity to help get it fix or replace.

Once the flex is replace, your phone display problem is solve and the screen will start displaying.

Yes. You can get them (to fit yourself) from the manufacture or you can simply take it in to an outlet (like curries etc) or a repair center and they will fix it or have it sent away.

However, it may be cheaper to buy a new camera than to have the screen fixed. You can also get an older broken 7100 with a working screen and remove it and replace your broken one...tho if you are not up to doing that I would take it to a repair center.

Your LCD screen has been cracked, it will have to be replaced. The screen is actually made of thin glass, so what you are seeing is actually just like a cracked or broken mirror or window. This kind of damage is not covered by manufacturers warranty so I would suggest finding a repair facility online to service your camera if you wish to get it replaced. The replacement LCD should be somewhere from $60 to $80 and somewhere around $50 in labor. The problem with communicating with your computer is unrelated to the screen issue.
