SOURCE: frequent disconnects with wrt300n

Ok for starters this wireless technology is still in it's early stages and is being tested while wireless G is still in play. Most of the time if you continue to get kicked off or get no connection at all, this is due to firewall settings. When a device connects to a router of any kind it must send and recieve a signal. Unless you have a static address on your laptop. (an IP address you placed into your wireless adapter setting) Your IP address sometimes changes, it does this when you turn off your computer, log off, etc. Sometimes when reconnecting to your wireless network the IP address changes because it is a dynamic address. A static address never changes. I have found that with some wireless technology devices if a firewall is setup with windows XP the IP address changes thereby not allowing the device to reconnect to the network or be recognized based on the IP change. I have found this alot with wireless printers, external Network storage devices, etc. Sometimes when you take down the firewall your computer will reconnect to the network. Or just go back to the basics: Right click onto the wireless icon at the bottom right near the clock. You should have an option asking you to repair, this helps most of the time.

Most common problems with having be disconnected from your network is when you have a laptop and you use it outside of home on or in another location. Any more questions I have tons of answers. I can also walk you through a network setup!

Hobart lxeh will not start until you cycle power to the unit

Check the revision of the control board. At the moment, the latest is revision H. Prior to that, the boards have been known to lock up.

When we push the Off button the machine won't drain and shut down? this is a Hobart LXIH machine. thanks,

Try disconnecting power from the unit either at the plug or the breaker if hard wired. Reconnect the power and turn it on. If the water drains, refills and operates as usual, your problem is likely a bad off button on the membrane switch. Let us know

P1 error code on LX30 Hobart

This is a bad sump temperature probe. The unit will function, but will not heat nor display the wash water temperature.

This is a very easy fix. Order Hobart part number 328994 from your nearest Hobart parts dept.

Turn off and drain the unit. Kill the power to the unit at the circuit breaker. Remove the lower front cover. Locate the screw-in temperature probe at the front of the sump. Unplug the sensor from the wiring harness, remove with a 7/16" open end wrench. Screw in the new probe, using teflon tape of the threads, snuggly. It does not need to be super tight. Plug it into the harness, reinstall the front cover, turn the breaker back on, and start up the unit.

TURN THE BREAKER OFF AS EVEN WITH THE UNIT "OFF" THERE WILL BE 120 VOLTS PRESENT AT THE SUMP HEATER (yellow wires) DUE TO ONLY ONE LEG OF POWER BEING SWITCHED OFF!

Digital display stuck- machine wont work even after reset

Disconnect power from unit. Disconnect ground. Reconnect ground and make sure it is a good ground check hot and nutural to ground and should be line (110 to 120 V) on line (Black to bare) and 0-4 (with a electronic Volt Ohm Meter) White to bare. And again 110 to 120V from Black to White. Reconnect and if ground is stripped make new ground point with new screw. Modern electronics is required to have a good ground and without one readings like yours can freeze. If this dosnt work the board going to the display is most likely broken.

When replacing the board always ground your self before removing the board from the box and plastic bag. This will drain off and static buildup and prevent discharge across the board. (not as much a problem in humid or warm weather).
