I Have a Drayton digits at SCR and the red light flashes periodically at night when the system is off, can you please tell me if this is normal?

The camera needs the lens assembly replaced as it is damaged and not working. The rest of the camera should be fine. Hope this helps.

These are Drayton Digistat controls re-badged. RC2 = Digistat2
WR1 = Digistat SCR
Cannot now find manual for Digistat2, but updated Digistat2+ can be found at http://www.draytoncontrols.co.uk/Digistat2RFProgrammableRoomThermostatWireless.aspx
The Commissioning Guide will show the SCR and now to reset it.

The blinking red light is normal. It tells you that the camera is plugged in and charging.

Go online to www.cheapboilers.com who deal with this type of boiler. It would be very difficult to troubleshoot this boiler with the information supplied. I hope this will be of some help to you.

They should also be able to get you a manual for your thermostat.

Try this first before condeming the unit.

1. Turn off the power supply to the Digistat SCR (receiver unit)
and leave for 5 seconds.
2. Turn on power to SCR unit and check red light is on.
3. Press override button No.2 and check the green light comes
on and boiler fires.
4. Press & hold down button No.1 (Keep depressed), then
press No.2 and keep depressed. {The Red LED light will flash
a couple of times and then it will go out}
5. Now release both the buttons – {the two LED lights should
come back on}
6. Get the Digistat+2RF/+3RF unit and stand two metres away
from the SCR unit with the Digistat+2RF/+3RF unit in your hand.
7. Remove the battery cover and fit the batteries.
8. The Red LED light on the SCR will now flash for approx. 7
seconds.
9. This confirms that the radio signal is being sent and
received.
10. The Digistat+2RF/+3RF and the SCR are now successfully
linked by a dedicated RF address.

Many digital cameras have different settings for the background color, my Samsung L200 for example has a setting that will make the pictures normal, black and white, sepia OR have a red, blue or green tint....you may want to check those settings... Otherwise... check to ensure the lense itself is not smudged... I have seen a smudged/dirty lense cause a similar issue.. what type of camera is it??

I found that this solved the problem hope it helps you too.

What model of camera? You will probably need to purchase different battery.

It should also have two red hands gently cupping the camera from below. It's just telling you that you're in a low light situation. With the current mode setting of the camera (night scene, no flash, etc...) you'll need to hold the camera extra steady to avoid a blurred picture.

its very normal that it does that. it dosent get enough light so it cant focus. the only way it can autofocus is that it stobes the flash to adjust the focus automaticly. use an external flash like 580EX and u will get an focus asisten thru a red grid throne by the flash unit.
