I have a TEAC GF-350. CD player works, switch to radio & no sound. Wait a minute & sound will eventually come in. The radio will work until you switch to CD or phono. The phono has sound at times.

Hi Dave, if you do not have good radio tuning, you would have to extend the antenna and try the result
Regarding the Phono, check that the pua is clean, that there is no residue stuck

SOURCE: Teac GF-350 CD Shelf System

Firstly double check that the recordable discs you have bear the label "Digital Audio" on them as per the attached picture. Secondly what happens when you go through the finialise procedure in the manual? Do you see the ?FIn--d? display when you select the finialise button? Do you see ?NO TOC? and ?REC? indicators blinking at the next step? Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!

SOURCE: DVD Audio Output Stops

Hey Kelby,

I've had a similar experience where a DVD movie would be playing and suddenly my Denon would just shut off, I later discovered that my rear speaker cables were not correctly installed in the back so the reciever recognized it as a short and would just shut down. Just make sure your rear speaker cables are correctly installed (right to right and left to left and with correct positive/negative placement) and see if it still does it. If it's still happening, then I wouldn't know what it is. Good luck.

SOURCE: All systems function correctly but

Have you looked at the manual?

The product you're inquiring about is not showing in your post. Name the make and model first, then we'll look for the manual. Then (maybe) find a solution. You might find it at the manufacturer's support site or these guys...

SOURCE: Radio works (tuner, volume control, cd) but no sound

If your radio looks to be working and no sound, open trunk and mounted underneath the deck lid you will see your amp or sound booster. It should have two plugs that plug into it. Unplug the one with two orange wires and with the car switch turned on, check to see if the two orange wires have power on them. If they don't get ready to take out the rear interior and underneath the rear carpet almost at the front seat you will see a big plastic sleeve full of wires on the passenger side. Inside this sleeve there will be one orange wire branching into two orange wires, check to see if it is corroded. That would be where I start.

TEAC GF-350 Power goes on. Press PHONO to record 45 rpm. RECORD button does not light up when pressed. The CD-R comes out blank. The screen shows: NO TOC CD-R. What does that mean?

Useful Information About Your CD-R or CD-RW :
• TOC means Table of Contents and it tells you whether or not your CD has data already on it. If your CD is blank it should have No Table of Contents (No TOC). If a CD has data on it, it will show the number of tracks as well as the amount of time recorded on it.

• If a CD is NOT finalized you can use it and add more tracks . If it is finalized you will not be able to modify it, meaning you will not be able to add anymore tracks.

• Please note that even though you can use a CD-RW, some machines may have problems with it.

Reviews on your TEAC are not good.

https://www.cnet.com/reviews/teac-gf-350-review/

However, I think pressing 'PHONO' has to be done twice according to page 12 and 20 of the manual. Then read onwards in the manual.

Trying to finalize a cd

Hi, This is just a guess but it may be worth a try. I have heard that Audio CD-Rs, which are the only media this machine will record onto, are famous for being finicky about being played on different kinds of CD readers. My suggestion is that you "rip" the Audio CD-R's content to your computer (in .wav or .MP3 format) and then make a copy of your album onto a reagular CD-R which is more likely to be played on any CD reader. Not sure if this'll work for you but it's worth a shot. Hope this helps.
