My Stinger DS HL provided excellent light.....for about the first month. Ever since it has provided less light than my cheapest LED flashlights. Any suggestions on a troubleshooting routine?

Charger seem to be working. I live where the electrical power is reliable. Asking Streamlight for help got me no where!

This torch has a Proprietary rechargeable nickel-metal hydride batteries (2,200 mAh), that is its made for this torch and nothing else. NiMH like to be kept fully charged and if you discharge the battery too much or leave it discharged it wont charge up fully or at all.
All I can sugest is to trickle charge for 12 hours then discharge fully and recharge for 12 hours again, repeat cycle till it lasts longer or replace the battery.
A replacement battery will be expensive.

I use LED torches with cree led and 18650 Li cells, last much longer than NiMH, easy to replace and cheap.

Where do i send my light to be repaired

Not to many places are around anymore that I know of that fix appliances whether it's a flashlight or whatever, unless you know somebody personally that fixes items on the side as a hobby. Maybe sometimes the company of the product offers a repair or replacement. But sometimes the cost of that process out ways the cost of a new one. That's partially the reason most places don't repair.

The red light in the stinger charger is blinking on and off rapidly. Is that normal?

not with my stinger flashlight
send it back, lifetime warranty... you have to build an account online and then print a shipping label... WONDERFUL company to deal with

My streamlight stinger xt flashlight won't charge in the holder, however, the second battery does charge in the "piggyback"

Could be a lamp holder or charger problem. I suggest going to Streamlight's website and find an authorized service center in your area or send it to the factory for repair.

Flashlight problems

streamlights have lifetime warranties. Contact them to find a dealer that can fix it. They might even let you send it in to get fixed.
